Hopefully, but he is out of contract. We supposedly have a one year option but Marshall said the option on his contract has expired, has Campbell's too?
They’ll let all contracts run out and replace them with talentless injury prone plays from the likes of Grimsby, Notts county ect
The guy deserves better than this... https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/nigel-adkins-future-hull-city-2595069 They're just taking the xxxx Nige. Find yourself a club with better owners, that shouldn't be hard to do.
Too true, look Allams - stay or go and if you're staying commit to it by backing the manager and if you're going be honest and tell Nigel that there's no money nor contract forthcoming. We're perpetually in limbo and that's the worst
Ehab will never back anyone, who is popular with the fans, its youngest and loans next season and we''ll be favourites for the drop.
I’d rather they didn’t ‘stay or go’ I’d rather they ****ed off, then ****ed off a bit more, then when they thought they’d ****ed off enough, they ****ed off again just to be sure
TBF we were favourites this season. Look on the bright side, whilst we may start next season with no strikers, no wingers and 2 central mids at least we’ll have a back four and a goalie.
Don’t know what’s around the corner but for me,Nigel Adkins has done a remarkable job at City so far given what’s gone on around him. Allams out.
Nigel Adkins wants time to "digest" Hull City's offer to remain as Head Coach - Oh dear, is it that good, an offer he can't refuse?? Article in HDM; Nigel Adkins has confirmed he has now been formally offered a new contract to stay on as Hull City head coach next season. Adkins met with vice chairman Ehab Allam last Wednesday to discuss plans for 2019-20 and, as part of that dialogue, received the assurance he would receive an extension to the deal currently due to expire this summer. A firm proposal was then put to Adkins on Tuesday night this week, progress the 53-year-old described as a “positive step” in clarifying his future. Adkins will take time to “digest” the offer made by City ahead of travelling to Ipswich Town on Saturday but offered no indication that an extended spell as head coach was now a formality. “I received something from the football club on late Tuesday,” said Adkins. “I’d gone to watch Doncaster and Bristol Rovers and when I got back the club had made an offer. “They’d like me to stay here next season, which is great. I’m very appreciative of that. “From my point of view I’ll digest that but my focus and energies are getting ready for this weekend’s game now.” Asked if he was happy with the contract tabled, Adkins added: “As I’ve said, the club has made an offer and that’s a positive step that I’m appreciative of. “Yesterday was the first time I’ve had the chance to scan through what was being proposed. “But obviously, having spoken with the owner last week, I’ve got an understanding of where the club is. That’s important and you digest all of that. “But it’s important from my point of view now to emphasise that our energies are on a big game this weekend.” Adkins has been a success during his 16-month reign as City boss. Initially staving off the threat of relegation to League One last season, he rebuilt his side to launch an unlikely push for the Championship play-offs this term. The Tigers are currently 12th in the Championship, six points adrift of the play-off places.
Just hang tight Nigel, you'll surely get a better offer. Unfortunately for Hull City, that will be from elsewhere.
So last Wednesday they had a meeting and late Tuesday after he had been to see a night game he received an offer, so was it a phone call, a text or an e-mail? anyway up it looks a poor way to do business.
Sounds like an offer, no doubt on reduced terms that is for one year only. I dare say Nigel will only accept in the event he doesn't get a better offer elsewhere. So much for sitting down and thrashing out a deal that would be accepted, full stop. Pathetic!
