We’re going to do it. I am taking my US son in law with me. The only other game he has seen live is when we beat Arsenal 2-0 in the Koeman era and I have watched with him on TV in Atlanta 1-0 v Man U, 4-1 v Everton and Also a West Ham victory sometime. Basically he has never seen us lose. Being US he doesn’t understand it anyway and thinks we are like Man City. 3-0 it is then COYS!!!!!
Kind of like cheering and singing at your best mates funeral. It feel's that way going to St Mary's at the moment.
I have some Irish ancestry, so have been to loads of funerals like that. Went to my cousin’s recently. Nearly lifted the roof off singing “Lord of The Dance” in the chapel (not that Chapel. If only).
I think l read somewhere that they had not beaten us at home and we first played them in 1935. So its a little overdue!
But an early will only stress our woefully fragile team, all 11 players will be fighting for space in our own penalty area and faking injury just to leave the pitch as the clock winds down...
I remember we were playing them at home and it was televised i think. We went 2-0 down but managed to beat them 4-2. Not sure I could stand the pressure this time round though
Finally back home, what have I missed ? who’s fallen out with who? Big game tonight , 3 points needed...
Apologies for my highly inappropriate timing on typing this, but my favorite game since we've been back in the prem is our 2-0 win over them in the season they went down. One of the best performances I've ever seen from us. Was smiling like a cheshire for 72 hours straight after that. Don't screw me for saying that football gods.
Sort of sums up a feeling many might be sharing in the dark moments at the end of yet another points lost episode this season. But if as you describe we’re ‘down the river’ then we’d better get the oars out and paddle like........ Somehow whatever dodgy boat we’re in has to be brought safely to land (PL survival). We have Captain Ralph, who seems to have an idea or two, and one or more rejuvenated crew members, so let them know we’re right behind them tonight on behalf of those of us who are unable to be there. One of my best mates is and he’s suffering to be sure about this team, but will not give up, yet!!
We won't finish any higher than 16th (and that's if we are lucky!), so this can of worms is set to be a big talking point in the summer.
I think will score for fun! 3-0 Then completely lose it in the second half and concede 4 goals.... Or Am I getting mixed up with another fame from our past?
