3 ex managers in a row at the Vic - must be a record ?

Was a while back and he got stick when returning with Swansea but there were a lot less people in the ground then !

Mr Integrity rides again! And Fatboy Moss in the middle. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but....

I know it's almost a done deal, especially with Lennon already confirming that he'll takeover from Rodgers, but it's yet to be confirmed that he is definitely their manager.

Never sure why Rogers left the prem to go to Celtic who are at best a Championship side. Perhaps there was a religious pull and the chance to getting some cheap gongs until Rangers resurrected. Scottish football is a bit of a joke imo.

For me rogers did well at watford in his time at the helm , stabilised the team and all the players bought into his ways , all say he’s a great man manager , brings them on , gives youth a chance ,the club at the time was in turmoil financially and many players knew they would be sold to interested clubs , so it’s hard to castigate the manager for looking after himself ..........

The problem was he couldn't keep his trap shut and hasn't learnt from his mistakes. There were rumours linking him with the Reading job as he'd been a youth coach there. There would've been no problem if he hadn't said about a week before he left "If you think I'm going to Reading, you're questioning my integrity" (or something similar, causing him to be referred to as Mr. Integrity or Judas). It meant he was probably the most hated departing WFC manager since Bassett in 1988. He said about his commitment to Swansea shortly before going to Liverpool, then said just 2 days before becoming Leicester manager that he was concentrating on Celtic, which is why there was the banner at Hearts on Wednesday. He did say he wanted to concentrate on club football for the time being when talked about for the NI job before Michael O'Neill got it, but if it becomes vacant...

Agreed.. Like a lot of his breed.. Not too be trusted.. I remember Redknapp did something similar. Personally I don't like the man...
But.. He is clearly an excellent coach and tactician.
And.. Given the chance to get away from Watford in those days with its precarious owners and finances, many would do the same..
However, he is hated for his dishonesty to the fan's...

I have no problems with players and managers using our club as a stepping stone. However my problem is when they express loyalty and a few days later jump ship.

Both him and Mackay intimated there were dodgy things going on at the time, we may be treating him unfairly.

  17. Yeah maybe Yorkie but a £2 million salary, good chance of Champions league every year and Europa group stages at worst and staying roughly in the spotlight if he wanted to come back were all good for him.
I think all the Irish boys who join one of those clubs have to say they're Celtic or Rangers fans when it's not necessarily the case . Of course if he really was a fan he'd have stayed there for two more years to oversee ten in a row.
