Looking at the stats, Millwall more possession, more shots on target but one less goal.. we won but it doesn't sound like we played with any confidence.. was that the case?
10,191. Yeah sure... But Allam says he sees the attendances in the papers and we are in line with the rest of the Championship.
Bragging rights are all yours ST. It certainly wasn't pretty, but 3 points gladly taken however they come. Second half was just an aerial battle, every sub they made was bigger than before, where do these teams get these giants from! We did it the usual city way, some last ditch school boy defending, but scored two good goals, 3 points all that matters. An added positive; good respect to Adkins and team spirit, none of those subbed refused to come off!!
It worried me when Ridgewell came on because our midfield stood there arguing with each other about who’s supposed to be playing where and what the formation is. They had no idea and we looked ridiculously deep as a result.
That stream from Jer was absolutely brilliant quality and that was on my phone while I was at work. Pity I didn't have much time to watch it, but good work Jer For anyone went, what would you guess was the 'actual' attendance?
Draw was probably a fair result, but they are Milwall and have Morison and play hoof ball so I will take it. Its fairly obvious we are short of numbers, especially in midfield Irvine was knackered or injured hence why we sat too deep. Another thing an all, that was porbably the worst officiating performance I have seen at home since that shocker against Burnley when Riley sent off Okocha. How Morison never got penalised for one single foul in the game is beyond me, he pushed the centre half just as hes about to jump everytime, and Marshall should have walked in the first half, absolutely awful referee. Can't wait to see Martin upfront rest of the season.
Agreed. A nasty outbreak or armchair manager-itis threatening to take hold on here. Just like v Rovrum we found ourselves on the backfoot against limited but determined opponents - but this time we found a way to win. Need a bit more character and composure to weather the storm against these basement battlers. Birmingham next- they won away tonight at Ashton Gate, so we will need to keep the ball better against these confident visitors who will offer more threat than MFC tonight.
