Don't know either, but it was a bad look all round and pretty dumb by all involved. See that Kepa and Sarri have issued a further joint statement, Kepa apologising to Sarri, Willy ,the team and especially fans, and conceding he was well out of order. Sarri says he accepts the apology, and is pleased that Kepa realises his mistakes. Sarri says matter is closed and was happy to praise the team for its' efforts and improvement. Club has fined Kepa one weeks wages going to Chelsea foundation. For once, a mature and considered response from the major players, and a sensible way to put an end to a distraction we don't need.. Bring on Spurs now, I hope this might band people together and make players realise they are each just a part of a bigger picture, and critics of Sarri, me included, realise he is a man doing what he believes is the best for the Club. Just hope Sarri realises there is more than one way to skin a cat, and selects his team and subs accordingly. City game showed what the players are capable of when used better than they have been last couple of months.
It's great taking kids to matches, they are so enthusiastic and it rubs off. My also 9 year old granddaughter goes to the Aussie Rules with her Dad, and cheers for everything, even when the opposition score !!!! Don't know how that'd go down at the Chelsea end, but it causes a few laughs at the Aussie Rules.
For once, CP, you and I are in total agreement on every single line of this post. You are spot on here mate.
Absolutely. The lack of leaders has been a bug bear of mine all season and was a big factor Sunday. No way Terry would have allowed that to happen. Dave is a great lad and a very good servant but not a captain. Sarri freezing out of Cahill probably hasn't helped either. There just isn't an obvious captain in that side. Luiz is probably the closest though. Ampadu looks like captain material but until he's in the starting 11 that wont happen regardless of his young age.
Block 516 Row 12 with my wife. I’m not particularly anti Manchester in any way but my wife’s brother moved to Manchester many years ago and as a result she seems to dislike the two big Manchester clubs with a passion. Anyway, you must concur - great view wrong result. Sarri got the tactics spot on apart from playing Jorginho in Kante’s position. Not Sarri’s fault that Tommy Tanker Kepa did not come off for Cabarello who could have made the penalty saves to win us the Cup!!!!!
