The thing is with Jack, it's not necessarily that he puts in lots of shockers with huge mistakes, he's just generally not good enough.
Oh yeah forgot to mention, anyone else notice that the announcer announced the half time score as 3-0? Bellend
better be quick....while you are working on your opus some other bugger will sneak in with one line and an emoji
I didn't realise that Shane was injured as well. With Obafemi out with a hamstring we are left with Austin and Redmond....and Nathan is a scorer of goals but isn't technically a striker. Ralph is talking about Nathan being our only option....can you actually be an option when there isn't anyone else? Bring back Tadic and Gabbi….oh, we can't.
Of course not, it will be a beacon of positivity in an otherwise desolate world. I am the symbol this forum needs
No one up front, just a marauding midfield which will confuse the enemy because they won't know who to mark. Result 3-0 win to us.
I've actually got a bit of work to do this morning, so should be able to get it sorted by mid/late afternoon. If anyone wants to get one up before then then feel free
I don’t understand why so many were pinning hopes on Obafemi sorting our scoring issues anyway. When he played earlier this season he always seemed to fluff his chances. Getting in good positions but not exactly clinical. Not saying he won’t become what we need but find it a bit strange people were expecting him to return from injury and start scoring.
He has one goal and one assist in a total of 136 minutes of Premier League football, which includes the 20 minutes he played yesterday. I’d say that was a pretty good start. He also has the confidence if the manager, who has built his own career on bringing youth team players through to the first team, and could therefore be considered to know what he’s talking about.
I thought he had played bit more than that which shows he gets in the right places. Still think it’s early to expect him to get the goals we need. Let’s hope he recovers well from this new injury.
I understand what you're saying, that we are all pretty mad to be lumping our hopes on a mostly untested young player. But I think that is the sort of desperate poisition we are in (thanks to the board), we have no option but to hope that Obafemi and/or Gallagher can come into the team and do well...because Ings is injured, Austin can't run and Long can't score. I think it's more hope than expectation.
