Thank **** you said that... couldn't believe that line was being taken.. Yes... I'd have got the idea you state... we wanted the win but with the injuries a draw not bad. But it was being thrown at me like you lot had done us damage... As you day I kept saying... but that result as ****e as both played put us top and you lot out of CL... found it a strange approach even with obvious banter and bias...
look on the bright side a) all the hacks are saying ogs must be given job now. the reality is his team selection was poor his subs panicked and he looked a deer in headlights... i say appoint away, that'll end only one way. b) we are top. c) fernandinho is injured again. d) city put in 120mins tonight
Have to win every single remaining game now to be completely safe. Chances are we may be able to afford one more draw but I don't think we can afford to drop more points than that
And you still didn't create one single chance of note The team selection was what were available, the subs controlled your superstars very well and with one attacker (limping for 80 mins) we created the three best chances of scoring. Are you really happy with your performance and do you think the future looks bright?
Quite a few sides have 'controlled our superstars' very well this season, they've been poor compared to last season. It's our defense that's been gaining us points, not our forwards playing brilliant, fluid football. Opposition fans and pundits seem surprised every game they misfire, how it's "not the Liverpool we're used to seeing' but Liverpool fans are pretty used to it this season.
I know, I watch most of your games. I was just trying to make the point that Ole's "wrong selection" didn't do too badly under the circumstances what with you lot being top of the league and all. Tbh considering we had one of our main front 3 for 10 mins before being crocked, one for 15 mins and the other not at all, your defence didn't look so hot either
We are top of the league, of course the future looks bright. We've played 27 games and only lost 1. Already been to Spurs, City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea. The reality is we went to Old Trafford and are coming away disappointed in a draw in which we controlled the majority of the game, that is massive progress from where we've been in previous years. We could've won and our performance was disappointing in the final third so obviously we aren't 100% happy with the performance but the fact is we can put in one of our worst displays of the season and still come away from Old Trafford having controlled the game and with a clean sheet shows how wide the chasm now is between both clubs in terms of quality.
Certainly does, can you imagine what would have happened if we had Matic, Herrera, Martial, Lingard and Rashford for the full 90 mins? Pogba would have had much more freedom to attack
To be honest, every team that has sat back with 11 behind the ball has done well against us this season. Nothing really special in what you guys did, we just can’t break teams down who don’t give us space in behind. You had 1 chance, which Allison saved. We should have had a pen. Other than that, weren’t any other chances in whole game. Unless you’re counting the 3 times you nearly scored when offside which for some reason we got ‘lucky’ on despite that being our tactic all season to hold high line to catch players ofaide
Not quite. We have just about kept our noses in front because of our inferior GD. We “only” need to match City’s results and we are champions. So we need to win every single match only if they win all too. Of course they can do that on their current form. But should they draw one or two they give us leeway... Interesting that we still have only one defeat. But in the context of a title race draws are mini defeats. Spurs interestingly have had a lot of defeats yet they are still there because they’ve had lots of wins too.
Hopefully this is the last of a ‘long’ break in between games. We seem to lack sharpness after this stupid training camps. Klopp needs to be more aggressive now. We set up with a defence minded midfield and he should have changed the style or personnel accordingly after their injuries. Matip was running through their side ffs, and none of our midfielders tried it. Fabinho Gini Keita has to be the midfield going forward now.
you were at home and we choked mate. do not take us choking as something positive for your lot. you picked lukaku.. that was stupid.. right off the bat. you effectively had 9 men by end and we were still actively choking. my point was about your **** show. please appoint ogs.. it'll end in tears
it was really telling camera was on salah at 10mins with tears in his eyes. 11.matches to go and tear in his eyes. that's choking.
I'm still positive, top of the league going into March and it's still in our hands. City had to run for 120 mins today and have to play again Wednesday. We have a good team, a team capable of challenging for the league.
last line.... highly in doubt. firmino injury? bottle? spurs, Everton, Chelsea games. trying to be positive but this is like the finals. i smell the bottle
it's a fact our prior form put us in a position to be 10points clear and out of sight. the issue is the fact that we do not look capable of taking the chance. there's a smell of fear off us. we reek of it
