Rooney is quality, lol going on like he's average or mediocre don't stack up, fact's prove this. Suarez has only been in the EPL for half a season. Although i agree he is overated and overhyped by the desperate english media, always looking for a messiah in there international football history - which is a joke btw. Silva is LM/AM, although i agree he has more geniune ablity on the ball, pound for pound and Aguero aswell, already doing the business, he will rape the EPL. No need to mention the Barca or Real madrid lot, cause there light years ahead of him.

you only need to watch his goal against city for us last season to see what kind of quality he has. did suarez score a goal like that last season?? if were basing it on goals of course......

all the name mentioned above could be argued for for different reasons, skill, goals etc
suarez will be a great liverpool signing, just like torres was.

rooney has been producing the good for united for years now, and there arent many players in the league who can boast a better record than him overall.
when saurez can boast a record like rooneys in the premier league then you can say he's better, you cant use a few games as a marker, if thats the case dzeko is now the best striker in the world

I know its fashionable to hate Rooney and declare that all English players are overhyped but some people are being a bit childish here. Rooney is an exceptional player, anyone who watches him with an open mind can see that. Why does it have to be Rooney or Suarez? Can't people just admit that they are both great players?

Seems to be injured all the time and although is still capable of producing moments of brilliance these don't happen as often as they used too. Ozil however has better technique than Gerrard has ever had and got 25 assists last year!

Ozil is world class and a joy to watch. Saying that Gerrard is as good as ever is like saying Ferdinand is as good as he ever was. Sorry, but if you are missing as many games as you play, you will not be as good as you were. You don't get the run of games required to reach peak form. Both still good players when they play but not what they were. Liverpool actually tend to perform better as a team without Gerrard. That would not be the case if he was still at his peak.

What a boring thread. We'll sign Ozil next summer anyway. Boring.

Doubt it. He's been at Carrington since last summer. He will soon be unveiled as a United player.

Peter Crouch has scored 5 more goals in 18 less games than Lionel Messi at International level. Lets not go there eh?

Now you know this is KPR could you please block him from the United board. It won't be too long before he goes into an anti United tirade.

Silva does not have a better passing range than Rooney. He isn't known to pick out a 40-50 yard pass and land it on a sixpence. One touch, intricate passing is what Silva's game is all about. Rooney could easily adapt to playing behind the striker and do the job as well as Silva could assists wise but I very much doubt Silva would excel as the main striker.

Aguero has been playing for a midtable Spanish side. He has played in the Champions League in 2 seasons and failed to get past the group stage in both. Yes he may have won Europe's secondary competition but that isn't at the top of the game is it?

One footed..where have I seen that before? Messi? Maradona? They didn't do too bad with one foot did they?

Suarez? Would you have said that had he not signed for Liverpool? Of course you wouldn't. Replace that name with Torres and it shows your typical blinded scouse arrogance. Suarez after 6 months in the league? Don't make me laugh.

Personally, even though Rooney is a very very good player, I wouldn't say he is World class. I do not think he is consistent enough. He has somereal highs, but also too many lows. Exceptional against a very poor Arsenal last game, but I just know that he will have long periods where he can't buy a goal for love nor money. Work rate is exceptional, attitude stinks.
