Common sense means opposition draws are usually best results. Means both teams drop two points. Our big plus this season has been so few draws. We’ve been hockeyed in a few but I’d say drawn less than anyone else
Draw as explained four posts up having said that if wba lose and we win our next two it becomes a three horse race basically. Won’t pan out like that of course
A draw for me,as only two points will come out of the match, otherwise three if someone wins,Looking more likely now Norwich will go the course,so one other place up for grabs,so as many points as possible dropped by the chasing pack the better.
There's normally somebody who comes on a late surge but with Bristol City and Derby's games in hand it's looking like 7 in the hunt for the top 6 and 4 in the hunt for top 2. Pl GD Pts 1 Norwich 34 24 66 2 Leeds 33 18 64 ---------------------------- 3 Sheff Utd 33 24 61 4 West Brom 33 25 60 5 Middlesbrough 33 14 57 6 Bristol City 32 9 53 ----------------------------- 7 Derby 32 6 51 8 Birmingham 33 9 47 9 Nottm Forest 33 8 47 10 Preston 34 5 47 11 Aston Villa 34 4 45
If we go up and Blunts don't, we should be trying to sign Olly Norwood, natural successor to Pablo but with a da or granda with a proper accent.
Thats the blades on a great run and looking like autos. Norwich got an easier run in. We cant score and struggle to win. Guys we are getting by on team spirit alone. Lose pablo and we are fecked. Its the play offs for us and thats not good enough. Sheff utd beat west brom away and we got stuffed by the baggies.
Unbelievable how negative we all are. And I kind of get it but ****ing hell, people say the table don't lie so just soak that up for a minute and enjoy it
After last season I would have been happy to avoid relegation, the play-off would have been a dream and autos a fantasy. After 33 games we have the same points as Cardiff did at the same point last year and just to keep an eye on progress from last year we are 18 points better off than this time last year.
I am happy with a win but we are not looking good enough for autos if we can't put the goals away. Goal difference is going to count this season and as it stands we are ****ed.
I get that goal difference is a concern, but what would you rather happen? Go gung-ho at 2-1 in the hope of scoring more goals and concede a sucker-punch equaliser on the counter? No thanks - I'd rather manage the game effectively, which we did today and have done virtually all season. Points are what get you promoted, not goal difference. It is so tight this year that it may come down to goal difference in the end - but it won't matter if we don't get the points on the board in the first place. Win first, and worry about everything after. We're still in the driving seat as it stands - chill out and have a beer
