No that was West Ham. Leicester was free kick out wide that we failed to clear twice and then got hooked back in for maguire to tap unmarked.

If we were not going to win then a 0-0 was by far the best option. That gives us maximum chance to go through. We need to avoid defeat although Bayern have a long CL history and the need to win won’t phase them.

Personally imo we were ok last night just poor / rushed finishing cost us the win.
Thought Fab had a good game as makeshift CB & thought Henderson was our motm and it was noticeable that he seem much happier to take the ball facing towards our goal & turn and play forward than he normally does in PL. He was also the most incisive passer in the game , not that there was much competition ,and the only one who on occasion "fizzed" passes to the forwards though like the rest of the team he faded in the last 30 mins.
Just get 1-1 like we did all those years ago & all is good.

The screening of the match, in association with BT Sport – the exclusive live broadcaster of the competition in the UK – will take place on Wednesday March 13.

Before the game begins, supporters will be able to enjoy a range of entertainment, including face painting, live music and more.

Food and drink can be purchased on the concourses and taken to seats to enjoy during the match. Those looking to beat the queue can also pre-order refreshments to be delivered to their seat during a break in the game, or collected from the concourse, by downloading the SeatServe app.

Turnstiles will open at 6.30pm, with entry closing 15 minutes after kick-off.

Parking is available in Stanley Park car park for £5 per vehicle, which will be payable at the gate on the night.

Tickets for the live screening will be available to purchase from Liverpoolfc.com from 11am on Thursday February 21 until 5pm on Tuesday March 12 and are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children.

After that time, the club will not be able to accommodate any further walk-up sales.

Local young fans from four high schools – North Liverpool Academy, Alsop High School, Notre Dame Catholic College and The Academy of St Francis of Assisi – will be invited to attend the screening as part of the club’s Red Neighbours programme.

yeah good idea, also gives fans who can't normally get to Anfield chance to experience it.

but like i said not for me personally as i get a bit too passionate when watching reds and probably end up offending someone lol.

be like watching a youth game though, be a weird atmos, and no away fans.

 

They should expand on the idea and have this going on for all cup games, I also like what Wolves do where they have the light show and fireworks before games nothing wrong with doing things for the fans and making it all a more lively experience.

Seriously though anything that gets the crowd up and simply adds to the atmosphere while also adding a little entertainment is good and it doesn't harm the game at all.

It's not that it harms the game really. For me, personally at least, its that when I go to the football, its solely for the football, the other stuff is just a distraction that leads to a crowd full of people who want to watch, rather than participate in the game. Its partly why the atmosphere is so dull in all football grounds here in the UK, people are now expecting to be entertained. The people who film YNWA and don't sing it are a perfect example, they don't understand that if you had a ground full of them just filming then there wouldn't be a video to start with.

 

Long time no see. I was thinking it may improve the overall mood of the crowd. I've been in recent years and it certainly needs it at times. On saying that, against Bayern the crowd were brilliant at the start and I love that they drowned out the CL anthem.

Yeah, its dire at times isn't it, mostly early/3pm kick offs or games against teams outside the top 6. I think its probably a mixture of tickets being too expensive over the season so a lot of the hardcore prioritise away games and big home games over the small home ones, the fact we are expected to win in these games so its pretty hard to get excited over a 2 nil win at home to Bournemouth or similar and just in general the fact the club target tourists more so than young local lads to sell tickets to mean the atmosphere is really ****e for 80-90% of the season.

 

The number of people constantly ****ing filming everything annoys me (I know - it's not difficult) - sports, gigs, most social events etc. You can't really just enjoy something or immerse yourself in it with a bloody phone in front of your face all the time.
It seems to me that proving you were at an event has become more important than the event itself.
