Ban them and only have PFA Reps doing this role. Future cash that would have been gleaned from 'agent deals' to be pumped into variety of worthy causes, with grassroots being paramount.
Brilliant idea. Agents are parasites and the fact that McKay has two Sons on the books at Cardiff that would by the sound of it struggle to get in a pub side is well dodgy.
An uprising would be good. Vigilantes taking agents into their own hands. And sheds. Then the attention can turn to referees until they adopt a similar policy to rugby (mic’d up, accountable).
I suppose the only main problem I could foresee (apart from sheer greed and corruption fighting it of course) would be how English clubs operate with European/ foreign counterparts (maybe a feeling that we'd be frozen out of getting some of top talent etc). But, aren't we supposed to be the 'home of football' and we like to think of ourselves as world leaders in many things - so what an amazing example this would set to the rest of the world and if they wanted to isolate us in terms of players coming over here - then **** 'em. Our players would get more of a chance and most importantly - we'd be morally right.
Anyway, to slightly more respectful news. The privately funded search for David Ibbotson has been confirmed and will start soon using deep sea divers and helicopters. https://www.itv.com/news/channel/2019-02-19/divers-to-look-for-missing-pilot-david-ibbotson/
Colin was interviewed on Talksport a few days after the tragedy. He claimed he had travelled with the pilot on numerous occasions. Therefore seems odd Cardiff are distancing themselves from the flight srrangements.
The deadline for Cardiff City to pay the first instalment of the £15m transfer fee for Emiliano Sala has been extended until Wednesday, 27 February. The Bluebirds were due to make the first payment to Nantes on 20 February, but BBC Wales Sport understands the clubs have agreed a delay of one week.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...asic-errors.html?ico=pushly-notifcation-small Doesn't sound as if it reflects well on the pilot.
Correct. A world of difference dropping parachutists off on a clear sunny day and flying at night into known icing conditions. Sad reading for families and friends of both occupants.
Not sure anyone benefits from this level of detail being reported in the popular press, it will cause huge distress to all the families involved. Of course the investigation needs to be as detailed as possible but the outcomes should be handled constructively and with more sensitivity than the likes of the DM understand.
The AAIB bulletin released today is based on the facts. As unpleasant reading as it is, they have to consider everything that contributed to the accident. It is an intermediate report. The full findings are usually published a year after such an event.
So the DM shouldn't report these things? Though they have been reported in other papers and on the BBC. Don't the likes 9f the BBC understand either?
Why just single out the DM, or likes of the DM? It suggests you have an issue with that particular paper.
As it happens I don't particularly like the DM, however I haven't singled it out. As you have pointed out yourself I referred to 'the likes of the DM' because John's earlier post (#132) referring to the DM prompted my initial response.
You don't like the DM? Quelled surprise! Had to laugh the other day when someone praised an article linked to an article to the DM saying they would have missed as they never read the DM. Nowadays you can read most papers without having to buy them online. Thinking the Guardian is for leftwing loonies and snowflakes and not reading it would deprive you off the odd decent article from the likes of David Conn amongst all the bilge from the likes of Polly Toynbee and Zoe Williams.
