I find it amazing how many get sucked in!

Pardew capitalised on a bad situation and put himself in a job where he knew he would have no say whatsoever, so when it comes to transfers or player rifts, I can't believes word he says.

Do people really believe he just got the job after Hughton was sacked even though he was appointed just 2 days after!? He knew about it, and he waited for the right moment just like the board did. He did a ****s trick on Hughton imo.

He knows what's going on and would have been told to say 'it's up to the board' as it takes the flack off him and the board know they don't have to talk if they don't want to.

I don't believe for one second that he is innocent, but one thing I do care about is stability. If he can keep usup then great, I'll deal with that until the **** at the helm goes and takes Pardew with him.

Southampton...to Newcastle. Give me a break. There's more to this than meets the eye.

i judge him on the pitch.

so good manager considering the limitations to the resources he has at his disposal.

some bad decisions in some games (stevanage/tiote) some whopper half time team talks (arsenal 4-4)

Pardew accepted a job when he was unemployed. Who wouldn't ? He was probably approached beforeHughton was sacked. Does that change anything ?

I'm also sure that, afteer the Keegan arbitration, Ashley would have made it plain in the ontract that Pardew wouldn't have control over transfers. That doesn't mean he's happy about the board's transfer activity. He is, after all, going to be judged like every other manager on his results. manage a decent result this season and he could quit and get a real job. If we go on the skids he'll be sacked (I expect MA's loyalty to him approaches zero) with a £2.50 pay off and no prsopects at all. I doubt anyone wasnted a striker more than him.

He took a job with **** condition written into the contract. He's trying to make the besat of it. He isn't doing too bad.

Well said! Ashely needed a manager who was in a desparate position to take a premier league job and one who was so desperate he is prepared to have very little control over matters and not many top managers would do this!! Im sure pardew hates the set up but is equally grateful that he is a premier league manager! Fair play that he is doing well and he will have massively boosted his cv so its worked out well for him! The sooner Ashly gets out though the better!!

    Pardew is a MASSIVE bell-end

The fact Ashley hasn't sacked him speaks volumes

Has a proven track record of losing

And the first sign of us doing well, he'll be chopped

(But don't worry that won't happen)

I would love for someone to post some facts stating how good a manager he is

But instead, posting childish pictures does not convince me

    Clutching at straws much?

    That made me chuckle

    The spelling mistake/typo of course

The picture loses all credibility if there's a mistake

    Just saying like

He has a very poor track record, of this there is no doubt. As I say I cringed when we got him. However you can't say he has not done ok since being here can you? He has done a fine job under difficult circumstances. Whether you think he is party to the firesale or not is irrelevant really. His job is to get results and he's done ok.

Over his managerial career his win percentage is 43.22%. Pretty good to be honest.

He average 1.55 points per game over his career. Again, pretty good.

He averages 1.37 points per game for Newcastle, meaning we should pick up around 52 points in a season, enough for 8th place last season.
