It's a fake, "Hull City Tigers had always been the name."

My husband worked in London and was at the Chelsea end behind the posts. All the 4 goals scored were at the other end. Osgood missed the match(tonsillitis?)but my husband met him and other Chelsea players that evening at the Hammersmith Palais. He has never been able to locate any video footage of that match and missed the replay.

I was there, still one of my best City away days.

Good to see one of the players that played that day.

Me too. Great trip. Mate & I hitch-hiked down to London from Leeds. Was discussing it with him the other day and we knew we didn't hitch back after the match but neither of us can remember where we stayed that night !

Must have been a good night if you can't remember. The funny thing that I remember was we went by coach with the football team I used to play for. We arrived London and the organiser, who was the club captain, said we will leave midnight, giving us a night out in London, and anyone not on the bus at midnight will be left as we will not wait. You can guess who was the only one not back. THE CAPTAIN.

The only cash turnstiles I remember towards the end was the £2 to transfer from the terraced area in the South Stand to the seats.
Which reminds me of a story I heard from one of the stewards. They spotted a sack under one of the turnstiles from the South Stand terraces to the seats and they thought it was a sand bag. On further inspection it was found to be full of pound coins and very heavy to move which was probably why it had been left there ?
It was handed in to the club which was then under the chairmanship of Martin Fish who accepted it as though it was a bag of sand.

You could pay 5p to go in Well bitd.

You could also transfer into Kempton from Bunkers in the 90s when it was much reduced capacity.

The last cash transfers at the ground were to transfer from the terrace to the seats in the South Stand. I remember the cash transfer to get into the Well and the cash transfer to get in to Kempton which was later replaced by the membership cards.
One game I do remember was the FA Cup replay v Watford when it absolutely pissed it down and we attracted a decent walk up crowd and they would only let members into the Kempton. The South Stand terrace was packed whilst the East Stand was virtually empty.
