In a few thousand years an archaeologist will find one of those shirts buried deep underground in what used to be London....in pristine condition. I don't know what they made them out of but it'll take millions of years for them to bio-degrade.

I picked up one of these off Ebay a little while ago as it seemed like £30 for this much nostalgia was just too good to miss and I do occasionally wear it when I'm feeling particularly brave :D

The one I had, which I bought at the first home game in '77-78, had almost a waffle texture to it. If you dared to wear it to play football, it would leave bleeding sores where your nipples had once been.

My younger brother had this baby...

...a real one-off. Did Admiral ever use that design for anyone else?

But the really bad news is Luis Suarez popping up in the back seat, looking famished.

Clearly we're of a similar age was born in 65 and whilst I'm not particularly big on retro shirts that design filled me with a massive wave of nostalgia and took me back to being a kid. Going to visit my nan who lived in tower gardens and then off to the Lane

A Spurs supporter who does not love the early 80s Le Coq Sportif
"two tone" home shirt is a man who does not have "beauty" in their
    vocabulary.

I've got the retro copy of this shirt and wore it to the game against Monaco at Wembley. I loved the cockerel central on the chest and that the manufacturer's logo was more cockerels on the arms.

Back in the day, I had the yellow shirt as well. The one with the weird blue epaulettes. I wore that to the first away game of 1981-82, a 4-3 win at Selhurst Park. Did the classy nature of those shirts help us to win trophies again? It's a thought...

Takes me back too. All my friends and classmates lived on the Tower Garden Estate. I lived over a shoe shop in one room with family at the west end of Tower Gardens Road and attended Risley Avenue Infant and Junior schools. I bet that estate is all privately owned now.
I can recall,as a kid, watching all the crowds hurrying along Risley Avenue after a game....on foot!

My next favourite...got another for my birthday when I was in my late 30s.
On my 40th my girls and Mrs. RCL took me to see Steve Perryman at a book signing (was my biggest childhood hero)...he signed it for me and over the past 12 years I also met Ricky Villa and Tony Galvin and they have also signed it.
    One of my treasures.

Sky sources are saying that Zidane and Lampard are being lined up as potential replacements for Sarri. And that Chelsea may have Zola take over as caretaker boss until the end of the season, if they decide to part company with him.
