  1. Understand fully why so many on this board desperately need to see this current Spurs setup dismantled.

That's for the very same reason that will encourage Poch to stay exactly where he is and to keep doing what he's been doing.

Never? There were times during his reign when some United fans turned against the greatest manager in the history of the game mate.

What he’ll get due to his history with the club is an extended period of goodwill. If things went tits up they’d take longer to turn on him, but eventually they would, irrespective of his past.

There's always a rush to win trophies, it's the point of playing at the sharp end. You're 5 points off the top and he should be looking to win the league this season. Keeping feet on the ground is ok but at some point you have to admit you're in it and motivate your players to go all out for the league, making out like it doesn't matter just doesn't cut it.

The two occasions I can think of when the United fans turned on Fergie were the season that he won his first FA Cup and during the Rock of Gibraltar farce.

The first time he was just a manager who was perceived to be under achieving. He had nothing in the bank to mean he got special treatment from the fans. The second time he was being a greedy twat and putting the club at risk because of a ****ing horse.

As long as OGS stays away from horse racing then he'll be fine and will never get the Sol Campbell Spurs treatment which was shameful.

EDIT: I guess it could also be argued that the fans turned on Fergie when he didn't rebel against the Glazer takeover. In hindsight, thank **** he didn't.

For once i agree with you <applause>

Why go to a club where winning trophies would be a natural expectation. When you can sit back at Spurs and carry-on as they have done over so many decades, winning....nothing :)

  7. The expectation at Spurs is that Poch will build something that will last and that will sustain us at the top level for the foreseeable future.

That is exactly what Levy (new Academy and Stadium) and Poch have been doing.

Trophies and titles will follow as a natural result of this process.

Spurs is a long term project.

If Poch throws all of that away and goes to United, the expectation from fans and media will be that he will magic up instant success. When, after he inevitably fails to do this, he will be drummed out of the club, and his career as a top flight manager will have been destroyed.

At Spurs, there most definitely is an expectation that we will win titles and trophies, but the expectation is that these will follow as a natural progression of the foundations that are being laid. Poch is part of that process; he is not the magic genie that's been brought in to make it all happen without the foundations being laid.

  8. Spurs have won more games by scoring late on in games than any other club in the Prem.

I think that is ample proof just how much the lads and Poch want to win every game. Look how we kept going against United. If it had not been for De Gea having the best game of his career, we would have battered United by at least six goals.

You need to stop believing in the nonsensical "spursy" bollocks thrown around by the media, and concentrate on when Klopp is going to unravel and go completely barking mad.

Not wumming, but why are you so sure. He has stated clearly and (if he's open to leaving) unnecessarily that he's planning to stay for the long run and I believe he means that. He has a completely free hand at Spurs, would he get that elsewhere?

I'm suggesting the opposite of "Spursy" in that you need to stop acting like little bitches and come right out with the fact that you want to win and are going all out to win the league, the small time "trophies don't matter" attitude is what is holding you back. Don't you worry about Klopp he'll be fine, concentrate on winning things and stop being small time girly girls.

I think he’s done too much at Spurs in terms of rebuilding and improving to just up sticks and leave for another Prem side, he’s made Spurs into a team who are on the cusp of potentially something quite special and I just get the impression he wants to see if he can indeed “complete his project”. I think when he does leave us, it’ll be to either PSG or Real. No doubt Utd are far bigger than us and in general would be a no-brainer but I just don’t think the job there is as appealing to Poch right now as what the PSG or Real ones would be.

Spurs have won as many games as Pool have this season...a handful of draws separates the two teams...that's not a 250 Mill chasm. Why should Poch change his tactics to that of a Circus clown in order to prove that he's got us motivated to challenge?

As if the squad doesn't know the drill
