Courtesy of reddit, it looks like they've nicked the livery from Motorsport Manager: please log in to view this image
I just don’t see Williams getting involved with a shady sponsor . Yes I like them , but They are a plc , so if they are gambling , they are buggered .
I'm really not too upset by the Williams livery. Yeah, it's not Martini, but we've seen far, far worse!
So rokit don't have a single sale to their name but can afford what I assume is a multi million sponsorship. I feel I've gone wrong somewhere in life.
Westy's Homeopathy - Proud sponser of McLaren "Because if all else fails, why not try some made up nonsense!"
I am not convinced we have actually seen any of the cars as they will even test. I think they are hiding quite a lot at the moment. It will be interesting to see them during testing to get an idea of how complex they are likely to be in Aus.
Renault engine boss Remi Taffin says renault have had 'the best winter in 5 years'. We shall see, Monsieur Taffin, we shall see....
so Renault fail to turn up to own launch with new car so stick new wing on old car and hope.people.ignore it... especially when saying no 3 in championship is aim not a great sign there Renault....
imo the aero changes required are fairly.fundamental in nature and require full testing. anything seen in second test for sure won't be stealable by anyone in first away races anyway. we will see enough... whether that's anywhere near full engine potentials I don't know.
I agree- the front wing changes have lots of knock on effects and lest we forget the rear wing is a bit higher this year. It would be a massive boost for Formula 1 if Renault deliver a great power unit. After recent years it has to be seen to be believed. However, as I have alluded to many times, there has never been this sort of confidence eminating from Enstone and Viry with regards to the PU. Let’s hope Ferrari and Merc haven’t found too many gains of their own. McLaren are one to watch. They will have the full Renault upgrade, a full year to build around a Renault PU (remember last year they had originally planned a Honda in the back of it so changes were made that I think affected them). Highly unlikely they’ll be podium contenders but with Pat Fry overseeing things with Prodromou, and a potentially upgraded PU, they should be some way forward from last year. As long as either of them stuff Red Bull I’d be delighted (but sad for Honda)
The new merc livery looks quite ok. The red bull one I can only presume is a test livery as it looks a bit messy
So it seems most of the 2019 launches so far, are just 2018 cars in new colour schemes and 2019 spec wings, very few are the actual cars that will appear in the tests. Thanks for wasting our time!
To be fair- have yourselves a look at the Red Bull packaging around the Honda PU. Newey has made McLarens “size zero” look big
I guess Honda and Aston are different markets. At a stretch the NSX comes close, but still very different. Still unusual mind
