I am Daniel Levy and I here to ask you a question: Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?
"No!" says the man in Liverpool, "This year is our year"
"Noooo!" says the man in Abu Dhabi, "Look at what we've spent"
"No!" says the man in Chelsea, "You're going to bottle it"
I rejected those answers. Instead I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...TOTTENHAM.

A club where the youngster wouldn't fear the expensive import, where the tactics wouldn't be constrained by petty vindictiveness, where the squad would not violate Financial Fair Play. And with the sweat of your brow, Tottenham can become your club as well.

We conceded very few chances v utd with no Dembele, Wanyama or Dier.
But we did have Lamela, Kane and Dele fit and playing (unlike today) so I am not sure your point tells the whole story.
Sorry about the luck and playing badly bit. Should have put that in a separate post as it was about what pundits others were saying.

Poch has complained- he doesn't often do that- about the fixture schedule.

I didn't realize it continues into next week when we play the early kick off next Saturday after our Wednesday CL game. What ? we couldn't have played that on Sunday.

It's almost as if people try to be against us.

One of the pundits the other day mentioned something similar to this, can’t remember who is was though. They said that they’re pretty sure the FAs of Europe’s other leagues set fixtures that give their sides in Europe enough rest before a European fixture (I don’t know if that is indeed true though). Problem for us over here is that Sky/ BT more or less run the Prem now, so when they want to slot in a game for their viewing purposes, they don’t care if it affects a certain team. The English teams in general, not just us, get shat on by our FA/ Sky/ BT.

It's official: making car noises is better commentary than anything Alan Smith provides

The injury plague is taking its toll, and what little
respite could have been offered by the PL and UK
    broadcasters this week, hasn't.

Be grateful Spurs are not also in the EL this season.

The amount of money the broadcasters contribute no doubt gives them licence to call the tune.
They might think that with the cash they have, PL clubs should be equipped to cope.
But it does put our clubs at a disadvantage against European clubs.
But we're at a disadvantage anyway with two domestic cup competitions and the intensity of the PL games.
It won't change because there are increasingly more live games and a demand for clubs to play as and when required to accommodate these.

I`d expect better from Jenas, but to be fair they are probably briefed on what they can and cannot say.

  19. It's OK lads, it was all a dream. It seems that we didn't actually play yesterday.
Well, we can't have as there is no mention whatsoever of the game on the BBC website..... <laugh>

To the surprise of nobody, Mark Clusterfuck says in the Daily Wail that Michael Oliver was right to book Son for being fouled in the penalty area
