Sadly we need yo realise we were given the run of the park and not closed down tightly which makes it easy play nice stuff.. but it's good to build up again.
Bournemouth at home is generally a nice fixture but back to winning ways, front 3 scoring/assisting, Gini and TAA back from injury. Couldn’t have gone much better really. pressure back on City’s game tomorrow against Chelsea.
Enjoyed that . I know B'Mouth give you room to play but it was nice to see Salah back starting from the left and the interchange between the front 3 was much improved. Though Wijnaldum was excellent first half and Keita looked better if still not fully up to speed . As Zanjinho said thought Matip was better today and stayed home more thankfully. All in all a nice afternoon and i'm now off out to reduce my already diminishing brain cells by a few thousand with the help of copious amounts of red wine at a fellow reds place.
That was comfortable - midfield was brilliant. It had great balance to it, all 3 starting in their best roles. Salah from the right is no brainer. Let’s hope klopp sticks to this.
I prefered the 2nd goal and the ball over the top for widgi. Shame matip long ball didnt result in a goal. Brilliant vision from the cb.
That’s more like it Really highlited how important a player Wijnaldum is to us, top performance. And let’s just continue to let Salah drift where he wants, causes chaos from wide areas, anonymous for 9/10 of the game when central.
Think we all agree on Salah being out wide, but doesn't mean we have to play 4-3-3 I don't get why we don't change our 4-2-3-1 slightly --------------------Alisson Trent------Gomez------Van Dijk------Robertson -----------Wijnaldum----Fabinho Salah-------------Keita----------------Mane --------------------Firmino Or something like that.
Isn't that basically what we had today? Except Gini and Keita took it in turns moving forward and dropping back. I think formations become a bit of a moot point eventually. 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 is mostly a question of who the runners are and who sits back. Smart players don't need a rigid formation, that's just for commentators imo, they just have to be flexible and fill gaps or make runs. So long as Salah starts out wide like most fans here have been saying, it'll bring the best out of them.
Fabinho holding, Keita getting the ball upfield and Gini driving into the box. Round pegs, round holes.
