I was just pointing out Leeds are not the only team facing a fixture backlog, do keep up Infidel old chap
What coaches look at and fans often don’t is patterns of play and levels of control and opportunity. The result of ANY GIVEN football match is usually driven by number of mistakes, amount of good/bad fortune, moments of brilliance. That you can’t control, but OVER THE COURSE OF A SEASON, if you create more chances and make fewer mistakes than the opposition you will win more games. So you don’t throw toys out of the pram over results just over performances. It’s a results business but you can’t legislate for teams banging in 35 yarders or your team making a stream of stupid errors. Well you can buy/pick players who don’t make them, but you get my gist. Bielsa is saying in the first half we did what we always do, weren’t ruthless enough and gave two error ridden and a bit flukey goals away. His substitutions made us worse and we gave away another error ridden and flukey goal. He’s completely consistent on this. We lost to a side that had 5 shots on target and the three deflected ones went in. When we won there 3-0 at the start of the season he pointed out that our chances went in and their’s didn’t. Did his side play like he wanted them to in the first half... apart from the fcuk ups? by and large yes. Not in the second half but he blames himself.
Forshaw being injured is a problem if klich is also injured as he would be first choice to replace klich with Philips back at DK
I'm never confident without Pablo. Afternoon all Just about survived the Ocado fire, I live 1.6km from it. Closed my works for the day yesterday and almost got told to evacuate. All Fun and games until i ran out of mixer and realised the town was on lock down
Forshaw and Klick can't be that injured, finished the game and had a week to recover,Pablo could be a different matter, hasn't he had groin problems before ?
A DM as a regular attacker? Don't disagree that he is, but look at Eire's earlier post about goals conceded. Directly coincides with Forshaw playing at DM. Surely a DM's first priority is to defend?
Oh dear. That's you on his list now. No malice, of course! Surely by now you must realise that he's always right? The voices in his head have excellent sources.
Bielsa said all 3 were minor injuries and all 3 could be fit for Saturday, he prefers to say all injured at this stage and will not risk them unless they are fit ...
Doubting Bielsa’s man management abilities? I think he will have Phillips fired up and playing a blinder.
Forshaw is superb, easily our best passer .. read this for insight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Billy, I think the general consensus is that Forshaw may be many things, but first class DM he is not. Phillips is. The position is alien to Forshaw in the same way that #10 is alien to Roberts. But at least they try, which is all you can ask.
Exactly this for me, it’s hard to see how Phillips, Forshaw and Klich can all play in the same team. For me it’s a no brainer to put Phillips into the DM role then it’s just how you fit the other two in considering our formation. Roberts has been tried at 10 and it isn’t working, if Pablo is injured it’s Roofe at 10 and Bamford up front for me.
So efl meeting re spygate has adjourned and will reconvene for a second days discussions tomorrow. Apparently unusual for these things to run over two days. They are certainly taking the matter seriously
