I bought 3 bottles of washing detergent last week. When i got home I realised the girl on the till had only charged me for 2. I didn't go back to pay for the other one. Should I hand myself in? (obviously it's still on my mind and I'll have to take it to the grave)

The full quote of course was: "those who promoted Brexit without even a sketch of a plan of how to carry it out safely".

    People who steal from shops.
Or did you mean stealing a frozen chicken from the country, Iceland?

This will push the cost of some travel insurance up, as using the EHIC card was the first option for many insurance companies.

Just as I suspected. For older people this might make travelling to mainland Europe costly, as they may not be covered for age-related items. Another downside of the goat-**** which is Brexit

Because of my wife’s disclosed illness, our insurance is already sky high, plus we need a doctor’s letter confirming fitness to fly, which must be given no more than 6 weeks ahead of an outward flight.
God only knows what it will cost next time.

There's a separate hell for those who merely continue to believe in Brexit. But they'll just refuse to accept they are in it.

The one good thing about the EHIC story is, at least we can start recouping the money that tourists to Britain rack up. I spoke to a lady a while back who worked in a department that deals with that, and she reckoned that about 5% of money owed got paid. A truly shocking and damning stat. It works both ways Europe.

What do you think? I had to take my Mrs to hospital in Spain, they never asked for the E11, they wanted my credit card. I imagine after the private payment and insurance the sneaking buggers put a claim in! I wasn't impressed......if you hadn't guessed.

I doesn't give me any pleasure, quite the opposite, being an overseas remain voter, to see a toilet scene ah la trainspotting as the destination.

When ever I have been in Europe if either my wife or myself had the need for a hospital we automatically paid by credit card. Even though we showed them the E11 card or whatever it’s called these days. Although in fairness I was able to claim most back from my insurers. (After the standard charges were taken out)
