Very true. Bad news to have lost Leitner and Tettey to injuries, but the way Trybull and Vrancic have more than seized their chances means it's debatable whether ML and AT breeze straight back in when fully fit again. What a splendid dilemma to have!
Indeed – what a dilemma to have and IMO, DF will 'stick rather than twist' Edit - Well, how many of us were moaning about Vrancic and how useless he was. Now here we are just over half way through the season and he is well clear at the top of the Championship Power Rankings: Norwich City's Mario Vrancic top Vrancic top, ahead of Brentford's Said Benrahma and Hull's Jarrod Bowen You can read the full article here - https://www.skysports.com/football/...ower-rankings-norwich-citys-mario-vrancic-top
Can only see Leitner getting back in tbh (but even that wont be easy). Tettey has been decent this season but doesnt really fit the system anymore. He does the tackling bit ok but isnt great at the "calm in possession" bit, like Trybull is. Tettey is good back up but thats it for me.
TBF, for someone whose knees are allegedly 'shot', he's had a pretty good season so far. I'd be quite comfortable with him (AT) in the middle, breaking things up, on Sunday, for instance.
I think Tetteys done better than expected in terms of his knees / discipline and I agree he's pretty good at braking up play. My main concern is his passimg generally and in particular his ability to play the ball forward. I think he can play a part this season and next, but for me maybe not as a regular starter. He is on a downard slope others are going the opposite way.
He's probably only featured as much as he has because of the (ongoing) catalogue of injuries to Louis Thompson.
I agree with you I’d like to see our midfield sometimes selected with the opposition in mind and in games where possession won’t be so critical, like Sunday, then Tettey is the one. Don’t think we’ve had that luxury because of injuries and also managers are not so keen to change things in the middle so often. Only really out wide or up front unless forced these days.
Been looking for a still of this for ages, that I could just repost to Leeds fans still raging about a government conspiracy over Krul. Two hand shove in the face of Pukki while we await a corner. It's Wednesday afternoon, and they are still ranting at Bailey over Krul not being sent off.
Oh really?! I don't remember any issue with that, haven't read it mentioned anywhere either. It came off a Leeds player did it?
Looked like Krul tipped it over the bar , replay showed it didn't touch him and they score from the resulting corner . Farke mentioned it as he was pissed off we didn't get the clean sheet . “I am bit annoyed with the last minute because we concede the goal,” Farke told Sky Sports Football on 02/02/2019. “The corner was not even a corner" Mr Farke
Ah, that rings a bell now you say that. I was so buzzing about the result I didn't care when they scored. I was already celebrating. Shame it was Bamford though.
