Not sure about that. I'm sure that lots of locals have got wood. If the stories I hear are to be believed.
Just back from a fantastic evening at Middleton Hall - The Young Uns opened their tour of "The Ballad of Johnny Longstaff". We heard about it on Cerys Matthews programme on Radio 6 and it was gob smackingly good.

I wonder what that is as a % of seats available for sale?. 95,000 sounds impressive, but fill rate would be a better measure of success
Not among the figures released as far as I'm aware, but so far I've not seen anyone mention going to a gig that wasn't pretty much full.
What happened with the John Grant gig last night, originally booked for the Arena then switched to Hull Uni. If this was down to ticket sales than it's quite sensible and dynamic to switch to a smaller venue if demand is less than expected, Uni and City Hall could benefit, are these agreements in place?
Not including Welly of course but 3 fair sized music venues in the city centre now, I've not been to the Bonus Arena as yet.
I asked the question, they said that the sales to date include gigs that haven't happened yet and are still selling, so they haven't got a precise figure, all they can say is that the percentage sales are higher than they'd expected.
I honestly thought Sean Paul was some kind of Ali G style parody artist when he first came around. Can't believe he's still going. Still he's had quite a few hits so I guess I'm just old.
