It worries me how much the club are pushing the narrative that this was 'fan led'. They seem desperate to disassociate themselves from it as if they're ready for the backlash already. Looks like as soon as someone complains they'll be ready to twist it into a "you lot are never happy" thing and attempt to create further division.
Crossed my mind too, in so many things they are so dictatorial just doing it no matter what and yet this is so different. The first thing is when they announced starting the process they were planning not to be here before it was completed anyway.
To be fair its OK But do not forget the bigger picture of how we got to this, they still are petty, vindictive, childish ****s.
They've pissed about with the tiger markings which look a bit weird now. It's not as good as the pre-Allam one but it was never going to be. This is a step in the right direction. Most importantly, the current badge represents the Allams, their attempts to rid us of the name Hull City and their associated petulance. This one represents a half-hearted compromise, which is imperfect but a lot better. The fact is has our name on which was the main requirement, feels like a symbolically important thing to me.
I remember Vicky Beercock mentioning this when I met her last summer. She said something along the lines of there being multiple tiger head options, one of which is the current one but changed in a way that no one will be able to notice, to modernise and clean it up it a bit.
Isn't that usually the way? I wonder if the intricacy of the old tiger head was more expensive to print or something?
It's fine , could have been much worse , it actually says 'Hull City' not sure why it took so long though
On the plus side it says Hull City. On the negative... everything else. The "stripes" on that tiger are ****e.
