Best trailer was the new Twilight Zone series with Jordan Peele as host. He's no Rod Serling, but what a great choice to reboot the series.
I wouldn't want a team called the New England Patriots to win anything as they are named after an anti-British revolution. If the American colonists had been defeated they would most likely be playing a proper colonial game like cricket in the superbowl not that American football razzmatazz nonsense.
Watched most of that pile of garbage last night. Couldn't support either team and much of the play was like watching one of the worse rugby union games ever. In other superbowls I could lean towards teams solidly representing their city, like the Seahawks or the Eagles. As a Chicago Bears fan I haven't much to cheer, but one of my mate's team is the Cleveland Browns. Proper teams who will never move from their city, unlike those corporate fancy dan owners who shift their franchise like Cuckoos in the spring.
I feel like an outsider. I thought it was the best Super Bowl for years, a proper tactical tussle. Maroon 5 are ****e, mind.
Mad how some people find it dull, I personally think it's the most entertaining sport by a mile. The critics simply don't know the rules.
Firstly, I support the Patriots so I might be biased.... Loved last night, a real defensive game. It was like a great 0-0 or 1-0 in football in my eyes. I appreciate if you don't watch much American football it wasn't the spectacle you wanted but for those who watch it regularly I thought it was a really good game. It's similar to watching Rugby Union and thinking a game with no tries is a bad game, but there is so much more to it.
Critics of rugby union don't know the rules. Rules change that much that a lot of people who love rugby union don't know the rules. But union and league are far more entertaining than Gridiron. In my opinion...
It was great from a tactical standpoint - but the Rams offense was possibly the worst I've seen in a postseason game. The Patriots didn't have much work to do on that front.
That can be said of ANY sport. If I had a 10 pence for every time I've heard "soccer is boring" I'd have enough to buy Hull City (yes, I'd restore the name Hull City AFC and make all you jokers my advisors, but that's another story). I too thought football (soccer) was boring until I started watching more of it thanks to a Scouser friend.
There is a reason football is played in every country and there are more members of FIFA than the United Nations and Gridiron is basically an American sport. And it isn't because football (soccer) is boring.
