CITY'S CLASH TO GO AHEAD AS SCHEDULED FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST 2019 Bristol City’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Swansea City will go ahead as scheduled on Saturday (3pm KO), thanks to the hard work of Ashton Gate Stadium’s dedicated staff. Following last night’s heavy snowfall, the operations team have been onsite since the early hours of Friday morning removing snow from the pitch and surrounding areas to ensure a playable surface and safe venue for supporters. Mark Ashton, Bristol City CEO said: “I’d like to thank the Ashton Gate staff for making sure that the pitch was cleared as quickly as it was and for their hard work in such adverse weather conditions. They are the team behind the team and we can now fully focus on the challenge ahead for the players and coaches." Ashton Gate’s Managing Director, Mark Kelly added: “The operations team at Ashton Gate has been working hard since early this morning to ensure that the pitch and the stadium is open for business as usual. “Based on the current weather forecast we don’t have any concerns over City’s Championship game against Swansea tomorrow going ahead as planned.”
Swansea game defiantly going ahead ……... in defiance of what? atrocious snow storms /flood pestilence? lol
Why is it that sooo many people put defiantly instead of definitely?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Does my head in!
7 wins in a row. Blimey. I've always been a LJ supporter pretty much, even during that terrible run. Why is it the one time I actually turn on him and begin to criticise, we start smashing these results together . Conceded 2 goals in our last 7. By any measure that is ridiculous.
Great win, sorry for mentioning things off the pitch but the police letting both fans out at the same time was ridiculous considering what was going on in the Atyeo / Dolman corner during the match with the Swansea fans who arrived late and didn't look interested in the match at all, it was obvious things were going to happen in the park, I seen the whole thing unfortunately
Well the way we are playing at present anything is possible. We dominated at Forest and controlled the game against Swansea. We seem to have a team playing for each other and clearly playing for the manager. Have to say that was the best atmosphere at Ashton Gate since the Manchester cup games. Clearly Swansea fans were getting hot under the collarwe are there to be shot at now but bring em on we certainly are looking the part.
