In all this, no one has pointed out that Radz told Arsenal and Spurs to get lost, that Clarke was simply not for sale (in this window at least). So instead of taking the £12-15m on offer as we would have since time immemorial, our allegedly skint owner has ensured we keep the only real flair player we now have.

I note also that Spurs and Arsenal weren't interested in offering £12-15m for James?

Furthermore, if we make it to the Premiership this year Clarke will stay and James may well sign for us, so we'll end up with them both. If things had gone differently we might be sitting here today with neither.

Some of us are truly miserable feckers, put it behind you and back the club, including Radz and Orta. Look where they have us, top of the league. WTF more do you want? I haven't enjoyed a season like this for decades.

    MOT.<ok>

Jenkins has been found in court to be complicit in actions bordering on the criminal with fictitious boardroom meetings and fictitious minutes, he lost the case from two sacked Directors, and the club had to pay over£100,000 in damages, he's hardly worried about the ethics of issues you raise here, we want the bastard out of our club and his Yankee paymasters..............<ok>

    Agreed.

Good business decision that will pocket HIM money if he sells Clarke in the future or sells the club as Clarke's value will only go up.

Rad has done an awful lot of good for the club but show me a decision he has made that ONLY benefits the fans, not jointly the fans and his pocket!

Are you saying if Leeds had made a public approach for James on New Years day with an official offer as well as a little word in James's agents ear that they would have been able to hold things up til February than I would be amazed.

I bet you a battered mars bar they couldn't.. <laugh>

Go on, give us an idea of what you mean. Give us some examples of things previous owners have done - or owners of other clubs. That should give you scope to give us a big list of examples. ........ although I suspect it may be a very short list.

How about never increasing season ticket prices since he became involved? Or expanding the family stand to most of the ESL, which actually LOSES revenue?

Leeds don't do transfers in public these days!

As I understand it, the approach took place in December, and given how the unofficial side of the process works, whispers in ears by 3rd parties would have already taken place before any offer was submitted. Swansea clearly had a stalling plan in place to drum up wider interest & consequently higher prices - and not just for James.

My club has been wrecked since those spiv yank twats got here aided and abetted by that big nosed knut Jenkins who's robbing a living here !
Our teams been decimated every window flogging off our best players and replacing them with lower quality or nothing at all ! Our fans were going ballistic over getting rid of fer, Montero and James because they are a few of our best players in a low strength in depth team punching above our weight since the fire sale yanks have been doing thier worst here. So I'm not surprised the owners wanted to flog off anything not nailed down here but it's possible jinx would have felt the heat from the city so bottled it ?
But most likely our manager that's worked miracles with what little he had to work with said enough ! Or he walks before his future rep gets murdered by the asset stripping bastads we are stuck with for now .

As a kid I liked Leeds, Bremner stands out in your past as a great tough little grafter, plus you had the best manager England never had at the damned utd ! How you aint in amongst those big northern clubs down the roads from you is criminal. But thats the way monies ruined the game so the fa darlings stay up there and just rape the teams below that threaten thier fixed place at the top using foreign mega bucks tossers !
Good luck . Except when we meet you again and James comes off the bench for our winner <cheers>

That is what is disappointing to me though WJ. We should have been the team in the driving seat, instead of allowing ourselves to be dangled by a hook.

For the way the situation played out yesterday Swansea are 100% accountable, however for letting it get to that position, we, as a club, have to accept some responsibility. By having just one target that was acceptable to Bielsa with 2 weeks of the transfer window remaining, the club backed themselves into a corner, by not being able to say to Swansea during the numerous days of negotiations that the deal is off, and we are going to pursue other targets instead.

Swansea were the club in more desperate need, but we allowed ourselves to "dance to their tune" instead of saying "its my record player and I'll play the music that I want"

The evidence doesn't support this idea.

You managed to get rid of a few high wage earners and someone decided that no one else should leave. Both Daniel and Fer deals blown at the last minute by Swansea, or do you blame Villa for the other one also?
