Now confirmed, other than potentially getting Ridgewell sorted today (or tomorrow morning), there'll be no further additions (or outgoings).
Ah well, Groundhog Day, not even a goalkeeper, our usual recruits, to get excited about. Negligence of the highest order, Elphick left before the window opened, they have known for long enough our desperation for defence. Nige has been very vocal about his requirements, wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't walk on principle whilst his stock is high and leave us in a reasonable league position. Tomorrow is just another day for Ehab, a new day and another chance to **** things up just a little bit differently.
Sorry Nige looks like you’ve stitched yourself up, you got us on a great run and made the playoffs look possible. You thought the the talks with pappa and Ehab were positive and they wanted to push on. Unfortunately that run looks like it might save us from relegation which was how Ehabs viewed it. Job done On the plus side you’ve repaired your cv so you’ll jump ship shortly, because by now you must see what we see
Campbell gets injured we are doomed. Anyone think Bowen would be effective up the middle Pugh on the left Grosicki on the right?
if it happens they have kept their promise of not letting anyone go except keane which I think everyone will be happy about how ever we all know the squad is not big enough so not strengthening is big but not unexpected disappointment.
Let's hope that our glorious December will be enough to render a slide back towards the bottom three unlikely. We are a couple of injuries away from being barely able to function.
Well, looks like we are about to find out. So, the score still stands at 1-2 against us. Unbelievable (or is it really). Still, we should be grateful I guess that there's still a chance we might sign a near 35 y.o. free agent who semi-retired from this league and standard 5 years ago (bar a few loan appearances around 3+ years ago), who seemingly nobody else wants to take a punt on (or will even he get nabbed away or deemed unecessary). As poor as the outcome is already, I'm near convinced, in spite of the reassurances (ha ha ha), had the Allams received firm offers of anything like a reasonable amount for one or more of our more valuable assets, the score would be even worse (but that's just opinion, not fact). But, hey ho, there's still time yet. @HT, I've been keeping my powder dry since getting called out by you. Please let me know when it's ok to for me to continue being honest and realistic, and to vent my utter frustration over the lying, greedy, incompetent, despicable twats doing their best to run, sorry, ruin, our club. Or is it best to continue to seek ways to rationalise, justify, excuse, gloss over? A rhetorical question by the way.
Don't think they are that bothered has long had we get a couple of wins from remaining games then that's enough for them.
I agree with you, I was just waiting till the end of the window to call them out. As little as the chance was/is, there was still time in the window for things to happen, as it stands, I was wrong and you where correct
Has the owner's son left the training ground yet? Look for a yellow Reliant Robin. If it stays like this, keeping the big two is better than bringing in a couple of panic buys.
Allams think they are so smart. We have the lowest wage bill in the Dvision compared to income, we have 3 injured centre halves, we have just been on one of the best runs the club has ever seen, we have had a month to sign a centre half knowing Elphick was going and after playing a YTS that should not be playing we sign no one, absolutely ****ing no one. **** off Allams get out of my club. Can’t wait for next season when they sell Bowen and Grosicki, Henriksen and Marshall maybe even Adkins and we have these chumps running our club for another year. **** off.
To be honest, I'd be happy with Ridgwell so long as no outgoing. Experienced head even if it's just in the dressing room. Plus Enob is probably looking at the fact we have 6 Centre backs on the books if we sign Ridgewell?
