I’ve been in client review meetings for most of the day (what kind of **** organises a meeting on deadline day???!) Anyway, what have I missed? Have many centre half’s have we signed? Loads I bet
Bowen's currently doing a Q&A at Rollitts, who are his sponsor, so it doesn't look like he's going anywhere.
I agree, but it is the birthplace of Captain Cook, Brian Clough and Don Revie, so there is that. However, it is much, much, much further away from Beverley than Hull is, so I too cannot fathom why our token Polack would want to go there.
Philip Buckingham @PJBuckingham Seven hours to go and little sign of #hcafc making a breakthrough. They've certainly not given up hope of concluding deals but it's getting tighter.
I wonder if there are development players watching the window wind down and thinking ' Oh ffs, they're gonna pick me next'
Actually Captain Cook was born in Marton. Though it is now a suburb of Middlesbough James Cook died 50 years before the foundation of Middlesbrough. Marton following used to get a bit annoyed at Middlesbrough being announced as his birthplace. My lad's junior team used to be invited to tournaments organised by Marton Juniors, one of the two leading junior clubs in Middlesbrough and area at the time whose barge was his ship. Jonathon Woodgate played for them. He wasn't the one who impressed me the most, which shows what I know as the dad of one of the players in my lad's team was an ex pro and after 10 minutes annouced he was the best player there and would go the furthest. Though he has own lad went onto play in the PL before getting crocked at an early age. It was an eye opener up there early 90. 2 different leagues with 2 divisions with 12 teams in each age group from under 10s to under 16s. The equivalent of the HDM had a 32 page junior sport section, 24 pages of which were junior football with half time scores and each goal scorer in.
