Morning all... It seems the James deal all depends on if Swansea get rid of other much higher paid players or not first. On Twitter Swansea fans are going mad at the prospect of losing him, they really rate him. Is he better than Clarke? I haven’t seen him play, Swansea are saying he is lightening fast.
Morning all, fingers crossed we get the James deal done. No one has a clue what else could be going on but let's also hope there's an alternative if not. We have returning players of course and a great new keeper but I would feel a little uneasy without at least one new addition
I'm with Bucks on this as on the plus side we have a worldy keeper and also brought in potentially a worldy kid in the Polish Bogeyman who is expected to feature this season. Would love a striker or and a No10 now though. Today is going to be flat for Leeds fans as nobody expects the James deal to happen, and if anything does happen elsewhere the club have kept a lid on it and we will be ecstatic.
A couple of things I picked up from last nights posts from Ristac and Leedslover: The Liverpool pitch was cleared in the area Liverpool were going to attack in the 2nd half and they left the Leicester area with snow. Surely this goes against any fair play charter? Ristac mentioned that we are paying towards Brown's wages now because he is deemed fit for first team selection. I listened to Phil hays podcast last night and he confirmed this and also said that Brown now needs to start to repay the club because waiting until march may be too late. Phil expects him on the bench for Norwich?
Fast like Hadi Sackho and Aidy Whyte? Just asking , morning all by the way Miserable couple of days ahead in our house. Daughters father in law, 51 year old, was receing cancer treatment for last few months but died suddenly yesterday from a heart attack. Funeral services Friday and Saturday so kinda makes the Norwich game even more important for me as it will be a welcome distraction. In the meantime Eire is in charge of keeping the spirits up in my house.
So when Brown inevitably breaks a toenail or something next week rendering him useless for another month, do we stop paying again? If not, this seems one of the more ridiculous deals weve gotten into. Paying Saiz wages in Spain and a Chelsea crock that may never play a game. Any wonder were skint or who comes up with these daft deals. Likely were also paying some or all the wages of all the other dross weve sent away on loan
Morning doc what we want is maybe not what we will get. Four players just like yourself and in the same positions were my wishlist. One more quality addition would even please me. But its the last day and with this weather affecting travel to thorpe arch for medicals just cant see it happening.
Agree its a ridiculous deal if it doesnt come off, but if it does it'll be genius mate. We've had him for months and he's been mixing with the group and getting Bielsaball every day, so in theory he slots straight in. Strange deal may be happening in Swansea right now as Swansea have refused our £5m+ deal but may go for a £1m fee to loan James for the rest of the season with a promise to buy at an agreed fee if we get promotion. Wow
Thats the problem right there i think we have nearly twenty players loaned out. Someone put a list up on another site but im crap at copy on my mobile.
