I remember when the leading argument from Everton fans was '... yeh, but look how much money you've/they've spent. If we had money to spend we'd be ......' Worrying times for Everton. The owner doesn't seem to have any plan in place.
Just read that Neymadge will miss both legs vs Man Utd; that will be six years running he's been injured for his sister's birthday
I understand the concept and how it's applied in football speak but when you say Moshiri's a fraud that suggests he isn't what 'he said he was'. He turned up saying 'I've got some money'. He still has as far as I know so what's fraudulent about him?
It's clear now that his claim to have "fallen in love" with EFC is complete BS and I have #exposed his true motives of property investment. He used the lie of EFC to get Mayor Joe on his side so he could buy the Royal Liver Building (which he now forces EFC to pay him rent for) and even offer him taxpayer-backed loans despite allegedly being a billionaire. He hasn't put any money into EFC except some initial money to pay off debt, but that was already factored into the ridiculously low share price he paid and a condition of him taking over. The rest of his "investment" has been some loans he wants EFC to pay him back. He's also getting EFC to build him a stadium that he isn't prepared to put a single penny of his own money into, or even use any of his alleged wealth to help secure loans with. He's saving all his own investment money to build property on the waterfront. There are no utilities or roads there so that would be very expensive, but fortunately for him Mayor Joe has got the council to cover all those costs under the excuse of serving the new stadium. Meanwhile his lack of any interest in or knowledge of football is blatant by EFC being one of the worst performing clubs in the world. Moshiri squandered the Lukaku and Stones money on his own uninformed manager choices. Now that money has been wasted he's made it clear no more will be coming from himself.
I didn't know about the 'fallen in love with' bit. You're right about him investing in property but hasn't he also provided them with £300m+ for players?
That’s club generated money for players through prize money and player sales. He is no different to any owner/group of owners. They are in it for personal gain, not the love of the club.
Doesn't Kenwright prove that wrong? In terms of being different, not many clubs get an injection of money and go backwards though.
Have the club gone backwards, on the pitch we are in the same mess. Commercial performance is much improved. Mistakes have been made, he won’t be the first or last new owner to suffer as such. QPR should have been his example to see what chucking money at a problem can result in. Or not to engage Jim White. On the plus, his plans for the dock regeneration project will generate loads of cash for him and for the City.
Bill never spent a penny of his own and made a nice profit in his shares, he loved the club but was never gonna let it go for free. He appears to have made sure Moshiri was going to move the club as a whole forward and it’s going that way......slowly.
No, they've spent £350m on players since he came in but they also sold Stones for £49m, Lukaku for £90m, Barkley for £15m (with Mayor Joe calling the bizzies to try to get more)... The increase in net spend under Moshiri is basically the increase in PL TV money plus a few million more during the honeymoon period Now Moshiri has told Silva and EFC to slash the budget Doesn't matter how #desperate EFC are for a striker and how much one would improve them, EFC's performance is not Moshiri's concern and now he's lowering expectations by saying EFC can't compete until about 10 years after the move to the new stadium
''On the pitch, same mess'' but with hundreds of millions more worth of players = backwards. If you'd done nothing and not improved that would be classed as standing still but you've staked out on huge player transfer fees/wages with no improvement - in fact I think the current manager has worse stats than the previous three - that's a step backwards. Commercially you increased by a whopping £13m New stadium hasn't left the drawing board yet - has it even made the drawing board? Honestly, I don't see the club as having moved forward at all.
Well that’s just opinion from your view. Commercial performance has improved. Club has spent on players to stand still, I’m sure you will call that regression.
You should be happy then and not pointing out the #fraud. How many owners have put their own money in other than for shares?
