Another experienced brick ****house centre back would be most welcome. Getting Irvine back early gives us more competition in midfield but it’s who might leave that’s the biggest threat still.
‘Hull miss out on target after offering 1.74 a week with couple of jelly babies as a clean sheet bonus’. ‘Hull offer 300k for centre half rejected, it is understood the club want 35 million, Ehab looks to re submit bid of 300k next week’.
The bad news is.... if we get a result today, Boy Blunder will also think we can manage without CB/ CH call them what you will....
Anyone here Nigel’s interview. He’s too nice and positive to call Ehab a **** but he sounded annoyed today. I feel he’s been telling the owners we need a centre half for a month, and they haven’t delivered as per usual. Their own stupidity cost us Premier League, this will cost them a sniff of the play offs. Shame because their own stupidity and self righteousness stops them lining their pockets further.
I think Nigel's obvious annoyance probably extends to the players. For two months they've got themselves in a position where they had/have a shout and when push comes to shove Dastardly and Mutley's attitude has been one of 'you've got this far with nothing, keep on doing what you're doing'. Yesterday Nigel said Bowen and Grosicki didnt turn up, I wonder if that was protecting themselves from injury. I'm sure the senior pro's want to see the youngsters come through, but on a cold wet day in Blackburn our backbone became worm like and not through any real fault of the playing staff.
It's hard to do it week in week out. That is why bigger squads allowing rotation have a better chance of succeeding. And why we won't achieve anything other than maybe safety in this league.
The problem for us is its a small margin for error, we have had a fantastic run up to yesterday and hopefully we will get back on track next week injuries and signings? Permitting. However to continue on this great run with our squad is always going to be very difficult. Were more or less away from relegation which was looking likely not long back. It would be nice to bounce back next week just to keep the interest going. Let's see what the week brings regarding injuries and IF we bring anyone in?
Well the Allams now have only four days left to demonstrate their support for the Head Coach, and truly reaffirm their intent to push for a play off place, hence the supposed no sale for now, or yet again prove what a worthless lying pair of ***** they actually are, yet again! I suspect my champagnes safe for now!
And if they back track on the 'letter of intent' recently published. dont support the manager, accept a last minute bid for Bowen or Grosicki, what then...?
