seemingly we are in the top 20 with a staggering £178.5m turnover in 2017 / 18 Everton were in 17th spot, Newcastle United 19th, and West Ham United 20th. Mike Ashley - "every last penny" doesn't seem to ring true please log in to view this image
So long as the money that is leaving us to him is paying back the loan. You never know, another 10 years and it maybe paid off
E Exactly my thoughts Why would anyone want to give up the cash cow He has no intentions of leaving He only mentioned it as it was getting to hot for him from the fans
Now we are getting somewhere. For anyone still mistaking his vindictive nature for a thin skin, I'd suggest you get that notion out of your head and buckle up for the next 10 years. This ****er is going nowhere and never was. I can picture his fat odious face as he sits laughing at all the festive fun he's had rolling out his little takeover news. He just loves seeing the fans scurrying about getting excited and believing, or not believing and getting angry. I've decided Ashley is blameless. I now hold two parties responsible for the last 10 years: 1. The ****s who abused his daughter etc - never poke the ****ing bear you retards! 2. Sir John Hall - he either couldn't see the future damage because of all the money wafting in his face, or simply didn't give a **** about the damage because of all the money wafting in his face. Either way the **** has a lot to answer for.
Completely outrageous! I'd take him taking his entire "loan" back from those monies to be fair and then selling up but as someone above has said - why would he leave - the club rakes in money for him and thats before he sells off the land around as well...
Sorry fella, but you are talking bollocks here. How on earth could Sir John Hall of known what sort of a person Ashley was? He never met the bloke according to reports, and even if he did how was he supposed to be able to foresee all of the nonsense of the last 10+ years? He's not ****ing Nostradamus FFS. In fact i am going to presume that you are in troll mode again, because i know that you are more intelligent than that ^^^ statement
Put the meths away Daz. Pouchy intelligent..you’ll be saying Chippy’s human and Jakman’s not a Man U fan next.
Local MP Che Guevera was talking to the Sports Minister today about NUFC and regulating clubs for better visibility, starting with Newcastle. However, to save you a monumental amount of time reading the transcript, it went like this: Che - "I love NUFC, Mike doesn't." Sport MP - "He's complying with the rules." Che - "Well.....he's still a ****head." Sport MP - "Noted." She did say she met him before the Cardiff game. That was a bit more interesting, the gist of that chat was Mike feels "hard done by" and "victimised", he definitely, definitely, 100% allows the club to spend money and has invested (by way of loans, which aren't really investment) in it. He's not going to spend any more (in spite of his early promise that he would, every year, put money in). His "people" agreed with him. Tellingly, he didn't say "I know, Che, that's why I'm trying to sell the ****ing thing".
I believe last seasons results (financially) are basically masking over the catastrophic losses of the championship season. The accounts for 2018 will show a healthy profit for that year but contras against the previous years losses. From a business perspective this kind of operating is probably usual. However football is completely different when it comes to the significant cash flow reduction of relegation. Basically, if we get relegated, financially we are up **** creak as they say. We could have spent £80m and still have been in the relegation spots come end of the season.
Bollocks in your opinion. An opinion I'm about to pick holes in for fun. He did meet the bloke before he sold to him. Ashley was already well known in business circles and London long before he bought Newcastle. His reputation was already known. SJH likes Ashley, he thinks he's a nice guy if you believe what he says. So either SJH was reckless enough to sell to man he didn't bother to find out about, or he sold it to him knowing full well what his reputation was. I suggest you read this: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sir-john-hall-sold-newcastle-13187478 This puts a lot of the bollocks about SJH and Mike Ashley to bed. These are SJH's own words. He admits to knowing exactly why Ashley was buying the club, he also confirms due diligence did not take place (something which many people seem to want to contend whenever its brought up). He moreorless admits he was struggling to sell it. He sold it to Ashley not because he gave a **** about the long term health of the club, but because the money was right. I'm afraid its far from bollocks fella bar me saying Ashley is blameless. Sorry to explode the mythical status of SJH but I'm afraid he was also a ****.
This is - believe it or not - a deadly serious question; how would you feel about a united effort from fans to extend one final olive branch of truce to Mike Ashley? Reason for asking is a comment Pouchy made about poking the bear - that's Ashley, he's utterly bulletproof in this Capitalist world we live in. Armor plated skin, vindictive nature, overall a ruthless trolling bastard. Nobody rich got there being nice. What if everybody just span 180 degrees and tried the complete opposite approach? I mean, in effect Ashley's a bully, right? What's happening at the moment with the media/MP debacles is akin to telling the teacher, it doesn't work. The usual stance of "standing up to the bully" is one possible solution, but that would mean emptying SJP and letting the club collapse - can't see the mob doing that either. The stuff NUST are coming out with is embarrassing. Standing outside Shirebrook. Asking people to buy stuff elsewhere. None of it has any effect, surely they can see that? Even songs like "stand up if you hate Ashley" get about 27 people to their feet; there's no appetite to fight because it doesn't really, really matter enough - lives are not at stake, 90 minutes of entertainment is and it's just not enough for a mass coup. So why not move in a different way? Why not invite the bloke to be a decent owner? Let him know all the bullshit of the past is rectifiable, with a bit of OUTSIDE investment, a bit more focus on the board, a bit more commercial income and a chance to compete at least for a cup (i.e., at least make the squad a safe one). How would people feel about that?
