This should whet the appetite - not long now . What a Supreme this was Nice one Oddy… You forget how quick some of these races are run in time. Unrelenting pace, great jumping and some very good horses, ultimately making a great race in the end... I've always liked the Supreme, just seems to set the whole week up for me, plus I've done pretty well in naming the winner over the years to boot...
A bit trickier thiy year red - there doesn't look to be a Douvan / Vautour / Altior out there at the moment ................... probably Mister Fisher just shading it for me at the moment but I will wait until the day of the race for a bet
This has nothing to do with today’s racing but here ae a few thoughts. Any views, on these, if you have them??? The Last Samuri was dropped another 3 lbs after Saturday’s run and now sits on 151. I think Daniel Skelton has done really well to get this old boys impost down (and win over £9k in the process) and he now look very attractively treated ahead of the GN – would be even more healthily treated if they have time to get it even lower before the release of the weights next month. The Last Samuri is now on his lowest mark since winning the Grimthorpe Chase and finishing 2nd in the GN 3 years ago. 50/1 re him for Aintree is starting to look huge. Downtown Getaway, who made the regular readers Ebullient with a capital ‘E’ on Saturday afternoon, has been introduced to the old handicap system with a mark of 131. My head and my heart still says ‘Albert Bartlett’ re this one but you would have to imagine connections could do untold damage to the old boy handicapper if they, alternatively, went down that route. Meanwhile, while I’m waffling here’s one to note. The Lieutenant has got one ready for bumpers whose dam is half-sister to not 1 but 2, I say 2, Champion Hurdle winners. I could go all Lady Bracknell at this point. But fear not, troops, I won’t. Cor blimey though I bet the Stick boy is salivating at the thought of this one (the bumper horse that is not the Lieutenant). The 5YO by Fame and Glory has no entries at the moment but hopefully should have in the not too distant future. Potentially exciting with a capital ‘E’. And his moniker is O Connell Street. Remember the name…O Connell Street.
I imagine Prince Phillip is rooting around in Elizabeth's drawers for the Range Rover keys, keen to get down to the local Ladbrokes for quotes re O Connell Street. Mind the traffic old boy
O’Connell Street 4g Fame And Glory – Victorine Magniers, Mrs P Shanahan, Justin Carthy Unraced A big type, he was a bit backward, but comes from the great family of Morley Street and Granville Again, and showed plenty last term. He’s one were looking forward to enormously.
hi fellas! leicester,2 40: well, old ASTRACAD is surely not as good anymore,as he once was,but hes come down a long way in the ratings, and his second-last run wasnt devoid of promise.so,even if he couldnt back that up next time out,he might still be useful enough to win a race like this..e w player..
kelso,3 25: a small, but tricky race.MAHLERVOUS is the unexposed one here, and he has been contesting some tough races lately,so this drop in class might well suit him better.good chance..

Yes I read this and found it a remarkable story. Well done to all involved but especially to a very brave lady.
