I see Shantou Flyer is due out in the Hunter Chase at Warwick tomorrow. He's miles ahead on ratings but he does have the burden of his enthusiastic owner/jockey (Paul Nicholl's words) to overcome. To be honest it looks a pretty decent Hunter Chase and an ex Nicholls horse, Connetable, has been backed from 66/1 into 16/1. Only a 7 year old he seems to have been discarded into this sphere plenty early enough. He finished 3rd in last year's Pertemps Final behind Delta Work. There's plenty of other half decent handicappers in the race too. An interesting race but I'll follow the money and have a few bob ew on Connetable @ 16/1.

The jolly looks a cracking price but do we really want to be backing Maxwell? Not tomorrow that’s for sure!

Sand ridge Lad 4 50 Wolves hasn't done much wrong , got the 1 box for 5f at dunstall park , 6/1 seems generous , been money for amy murphys, who hasnt raced on aw , Dragon Beat won by 3/4 length last time here , they swap starting stalls this time and a 4lb pull , if that helps <laugh> ........

I wouldnt back Maxwell at evens with borrowed money. The one that was flying off the page at me earlier was COUSIN PETE who was placed in last years Foxhunters. 10/1 seemed fairly generous.

a damning assessment of the jock ! i've seen worse , not many mind , David Burchell was pretty bad in a finish , seemed to always unbalance a horse , only ever rode for his uncle dai , no other trainer would let him near , got to say dai burchell has done much better since robbie dunne has the responsibility....

Maxwell buys the horses and pays people to train them so he can bump around on them. Fair play to him. He buys some good animals and wins his share.

well, that ride on sat at ascot cost him the race , tried to burn off the first circuit pace setter , eased off after a mile , but when it came to the crucial part , poor horse had nothing left .....

Yep, was a horrible judgement of pace at Ascot that’s for sure.

Just been reading that Gordon Elliott has sent 6 horses to Sedgefield and all 6 have won. In the 1.50 he has his only runner in SAVANNAH MOON. Could this be his lucky 7th. Currently 5/1 will go win only.

Just 15 minutes later over at Warwick I'm hoping that ANGE DES MALBERAUX can continue his form for the Skelton team. Currently 11/2 so again will go win only.

I’m guessing Dickie had the choice in the next too. Reverse forecast perhaps
