Said in match thread. Zaha would be a very good signing for us I think. Also Wilson with another goal for Derby. Would be good to see him get w chance next year for us. A good option wide or potentially in that creative 10 role.
Bonus points for him hating Moyes and recognising LFC as classier than Man Utd: "Raheem Sterling went through a tough period at Liverpool and there was talk of him going out on loan. But Brendan Rodgers trusted him and he was allowed to get that experience and pull through."
CHELSEA have asked Barcelona to keep them in touch with any plans they have to offload former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.
I’m not convinced by Wilson. Yes, his output / goal scoring is great but he’s not heavily involved in build up play. His season at derby will surely have doubled his value. £20m at least I reckon ...
he's a right place right time player and scores great free kicks. nothing he is doing is a shock to us or klopp. imo it's more about pace than anything. klopps loaned him for a reason. btw. 20mil? that's 5 years ago mate... fee would be much higher
Got a colleague who comes from Derby and a big derby county fan. He is still adamant the talent is with the young Chelsea player they have and Wilson is alright but has a good shot on him. Very limited else. Saying that, Harry Klaim has made his career for being limited at everything else but his shot too
Mason Mount (the Chelsea player ) looks the real deal tbh though whether he'll ever get the chance to show it for Chelsea is another matter. Think from what i've seen/heard that Wilson is improving his all round game as the season progresses.Either way the loan is working for everyone atm.
but at a different level to what we are at. how do you know they can step up if you don't give them the chance to prove it?
well you don't but since he was a PL regular it was a reasonable chance particularly since the comparison was with Moreno
but my point still stands, and besides i think moreno would be useful in attacking midfield, but looks like that ship has sailed. moreno doesn't have the brains to be a defender, as he is too busy concentrating on attacking and not defending. you may laugh, but i wonder if he could have been the next bale, guess we will never know.
If he can replicate the form he shows for Palace, yes. I think he needs to be the main man and playing every week, he simply wouldn't get that at Liverpool straight away. No guarantee he'd get it in time either.
Seen a few say that over the years but I don't get where it comes from. He can't cross, shoot or beat a man, he's not bad at passing but not great either. His best attributes are pace and determination. His defensive game is a acceptable standard for a midfielder but he's offensively poor. I think the thought of him playing further forward were purely based on getting him further away from our goal!
I agree with that. As much as I'd like him he would be used in rotation, but then we rotate our midfield a lot, so we could rotate the front three if we had options
