To be honest I always got the impression that Redmond was the most frustrated with himself and spent more time cursing himself than anyone else. He'd have a sharp word with Bertie every now and then but I think they've got a relationship where that isn't an issue. Always seemed to me he was in his own head most of all, and of course withtreating further and further inside as the abuse mounted. Momentum is the most powerful thing in football, and it's very hard to create and nurture, but very easy to destroy. Thankfully we've made it past the first M for the first time in about 3 years. It's also the most powerful lens with which things are viewed. Nathan Redmond with momentum and without look decidedly different.
Romeu and JWP played every minute against Leicester (50 with 10 men) and Derby and among the most taxed by us pressing. Redmond played 90+75. Pierre was the only one particularly fresh. On the greater topic I thought we definitely didn't set out to press other than when Everton were already on the back foot. JWP played deeper than Armstrong had been, we had more of a sustained midfield 3 without the ball. But whether that was tactics or pragmatism I don't know.
Woke up this morning to the news that my nan - and last surviving grandparent - had passed away at 3.30am on Saturday. To then be able to see Saints play quite so well and win again really lifted my mood and helped to clear the clouds. For Arsenal to then win their own crucial game later on and make my working week look much nicer too, was just an added bonus. Thank you Ralph.
if its and but were chocolate and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas, enjoy our good fortune, until Pouch moves to United and Spurs come with an offer.
"Disappointed that we conceded late on in the game", you are can find negativity in every saints win, bravo
one of our big changes from the other dross we have been served up over the last two managers, we pressed today and Everton could not handle it. Every time we lost the ball we challenged for it back, Ralph has the team ticking right now and I friking love it
Ditto this, but our messiah Ralph has found the answer, long live the messiah, while he is a saints manager anyway.
BTW it is only 9:30 in the states and you people are tucked in bed and I am a little pissed from celebrating and have free run of the Not 606 site, happy days, sleep well my fellow posters, the future is bright in red and white stripes, I love those stripes, even though my American wife thinks I look fat in them!
Please refrain from Sir, I am very much a disciple to club! It's going to be a long 10 days until our next match.. Which we should win..., Home, Crystal palace play int he cup on a Sunday.. 2 days before our game.
