Agreed, and as useless as Will Keane was he was still another body in the squad. It’s unbelievable how incredibly bad the Allam’s are at dealing with transfer windows, it’s equally unbelievable how Nigel has managed, sorry coached, this paper thin squad into eighth place in the Championship without any help, but plenty of hindrance, from upstairs.

Unbelievable. And if Bowen or Grosicki gets injured we may have to change our formation. Squad is paper thin. Ehab is to blame and he will without doubt knacker any chance of play offs. Get out of my club you bellends.

 

Also Adkins was one about lacking tall players on the pitch. Chester is 5’10!

I think not getting Connolly in from Cardiff hasn't exactly helped - leading to Adkins throwing McKenzie in. Must admit a bit unsure as to why Lichaj didn't come on, suppose he didn't want to move the back four around. Needs back up plans though, so hopefully we shall see some movement this week. I'm the eternal optimist as well, which doesn't help much.

 

I'd haven been tempted to play Lichaj at centre back.

 

Martin - what the **** was that today - refused to jump for any header - showed no interest at all - can only assume Campbell was not 100% because Martin had a shocker

 

Not long back from the game. Martin was absolute ****. Never seen a worse front man in a city shirt of recent years. He could have made Aaron Mclean look like Messi.

Didn't jump for any headers, didnt make any runs and he was ****ing knackered. Holding onto the goalposts trying to catch his breath at the end. What a shocker!

Another great away day, with a fair result. I think they where a decent team but given how high their wage bill must be and the fact Kodjia who cost 15m is on the bench shows the money being thrown at promotion. It is disappointing when you go 2-0 up and don't win but it's a good result in my eyes.

Lots of good performances, couple of sloppy goals but we are 8th can't moan!

I do think we need some more depth and a few signings are needed if we are going to maintain this push but Adkins and the coaches are getting everything out of this squad. Disappointed that Campbell didn't get a look in but given we had two players on yellows and a couple of players on knocks.

 

Was down at pitchside today, thought Martin was quite effective. He uses his weight cleverly, he doesn’t win headers but he makes the defender head into touch nearly every time. And his link up play with the attacking three was great.

Still would’ve preferred to see Campbell. He was warming up pretty gingerly at half time, I wonder if he is only available in emergencies this week.

 

Martin had a decent game. He did what he was brought in to do. Only an excellent save by the Villa keeper from Martin in the dying minutes stopped us taking all 3 points.

 

Thought Cardiff were reluctant to let Connolly go out on loan due to injury to Morrison yet the he's not even in the Cardiff squad today.

 

Chris Martin seems to be a bit of a marmite player
