I had a quick look tôother day To check on our league form away, And blow me, if I Could even espy When last we lost an away fray I had to trudge through many weeks And also some seasonal peaks, Past Christmas delight Beyond Guy Fawkes night To discover the last of those freaks 1-3 it was, in Cardiff town A result which caused us to frown, A bit at the time But since then our climb Has continued and weôve not looked down So Turf Moor where weôre soon to play Should not really cause us dismay, An Austin theyôve got But that may not stop Our horsepower from winning the day And Iôm sure PL wants to show How so right he was not to go, When Burnley had eyes On him as a prize What theyôre missing, they may soon know And our away following too Those thousands who shadow our crew, Will no doubt remind Them, just where to find Him, hopefully for the next year or two Much of this yearôs success is owed To our many games on the road, So perhaps here too Those Claret and Blue Will end up exclaiming, " Iôm blowed!" OTBC And although we shouldnôt just expect a win, I think we could expect, and hope for at least a draw, which would be satisfactory imo.
Burnley away will be a very, very, very tough test. Hope we play well tomorrow. If we can get all 3 points, then I might start to believe this P word is a possibility. For me, a draw would be the most I'd dare hope for. Can't imagine any Burnley fans saying OTBC though.
Excellent verse as always RBF, and, if i may say, a fine deployment of smilies! Like DM I'd take a draw from this. Didn't know much about Eddie Howe, only 33, wow. Seems to have them up and running, anyway. Can't get there tomorrow unfortunately - next away game for me will be Hull in March. Will follow it on dear old Radio Norfolk!
Top Stuff as usual RBF - 5 stars This is one of the toughest remaining fixtures I feel against a rejuventaed Vurnley under new management. Would be happy with a point.
