Have you ever been to China? I have many times. If it was a toss up between earning 5 million here and 10 million there. Did take the 5 all day long. Something's just aren't sacrificing yours and your families lifestyle for. Obviously? If it was a toss up between wha I earn now or 1 million tax free a year, I'd go like a shot Seriously though, for westerners, it's not a great life. The guys already a multi millionaire. I'm not. It's relative.
Thats true but do you want to talk about pop stars or film stars instead? In ye olden days film studios signed up film stars and they worked for them. that's gone now but i'm sure film stars moved studios for more money. There are huge number of examples of pop stars moving studios the only difference in these cases is the star stays in hollywood or la and doesn't move house! You could even talk about jonathon ross moving from bbc to Whichever ****e show he moved to. So forget the doctor... if you like!
I don't know which club he is going to. So theres a huge difference in standards there. remember we are talking him lasting 2 or 3 years them coming back. Its 1.5 years into 100k per week 5 year contract v a new 5 year 300k per week contract apaprently. If you were saying to me its 1.5x is it really worth it i might agree but 3x? If I gave you 26mil (pre tax) Uk and told you to live well for 60 years you might do it. But if i said heres 78mil (pre tax china) and said live well I'm pretty sure you'd notsturrgle to do it. Now: your living well and mine... a) 5mil mansion b) luxury cars c) helicopter rides d) yachts. I'd say you could find yourself blowing through quite a bit of money when you change from being a mere mortal shopping in primark and tesco to being a rich ****.
maybe he doesn't like playing football though? In which case it's a chore having to play every week. Maybe he wants to be a superstar cause he has a massive ego, in which case he won't be the biggest one either in the PL but could be in China. Maybe he wants to see a different part of the world and travel asia, in which case its ideal to move to china. Maybe he's thinking he's hitting all these injuries (like dembele) and fancies playing at a slower pace so it's not so intense on his body. There's many reasons for him to go.
depends what kind of life you want. You'll live like a king out there Maybe he likes trying loads of different exotic chinese food? Maybe he likes the risky health and safety laws. Maybe it's just a nice place where he can go for long weekends to thailand for some beach action.
Thing is he will have a series of agents and contacts provided by the new club etc that will provide him a luxury place to live in a nice neighbourhood and everything will be sorted for him. Taken to and from training and games. He will live in luxury, have an easy life and earn a crap load.
Absolutely #desperate stuff from #bbcsalford "I'd love United to sign Salah. All those dodgy penalties decisions would come our way"
The provinces are sh*tholes. The major city's (they're all big) are heavily polluted to the point that you couldn't walk outside on some days. There will be no mansion, he'll live in a 5* hotel with his family. He'll have a luxury suite and it will be lavish. Sounds nice? Yes, for a few weeks perhaps but it's limiting. The local cuisine is not great, even in the big cities, although at least you can find some great choices of western food in the major ones....in the provinces it's utterly disgusting. Only my opinion, based on spending way too long out there, but still my opinion - he may be a person who will embrace all of that. Who knows. I know that if I were in his shoes, I'd not go.....but that's me.
Just had a post on the BBC removed by their moderation team, the only word I can see that would upset a man u fan is "plastics", ****ing snowflake ****er. "4, "United could be relegated to the none league and will always be by far the biggest team in country if not the world." No they wouldn't be the biggest based on finances because their share price would nose dive and their fanbase and merch sales would dwindle, it's fair to say Utd have always had a hardcore of 57,000 matchgoing fans but the plastics since 92 would jump ship in no time."
this is why i said i dont know what team it is so its hard to judge where he is even going. certainly some players who have gone hated it and didnt stay.
Sorry, wasn't clear. My point was that it doesn't matter what city it is, it's a massive compromise on lifestyle.
May well happen. But judging from recent history and past experience when they were relegated, they probably will keep most of their global following. Can't understand why though
Nah, when they were relegated their average home attendance was around 1000 more than ours, OT had a 56,000 capacity, it's in the Fergie years they've expanded the ground, an extra 20,000 more than they used to get back when they were successful under Busby and crap under Sexton etc. They just don't it being pointed out to them.
Like mourinho going to manchester.... living in a hotel like manchester is a 3rd world coun... oh wait i see your point.
Where in China have you been? I last went to Guangzhou and it’s pretty amazing. Played floodlit golf, lived like a king while at work. English speaking, great food
Sure you would be happy on 50k a week. You are not looking at it from his view. If you were to go from 30k a year to 100k a year....would you sacrifice doing okay in your current job for more cash and less success?
