Cardiff strengthening again.. on top of Sala.

I expect Huddersfield to strengthen too.

    If only we could compete...

What is this "transfer window" you speak of?

I had heard rumours of a magical time when football clubs can bring players in to their club to help them succeed, but dismissed such nonsense as a myth.

Our transfer window was smashed and boarded up years ago.

I've heard there is a young lad in the under 12's that can kick a ball. Maybe he could be promoted.

Decent signing Niasse for their situation. Warnock going all out for goals goals goals as he knows that is what keeps you up.

Should have kept Mitro, I'm still adamant he will outscore all our strikers in the league put together this season and when you think we got 0% of his transfer fee to spend we should have given away Joselu and got 0% of **** all - in terms of monetary value and footballing ability.

It's been very very quiet for us so far. Almost no links either just pure silence. I can only hope the total inactivity is caused by trying to work out this sale

Sky Italia reckon we may have signed Grégoire Defrel (no, me neither) for £10m+. Well, at least it's a striker, we do need one of those. We don't need yet another winger, we just need a formation/tactic that suits who we have. Funnily enough, our tactics of "defend here, position there, track back, follow the man" don't work very well with pacy attackers.....

If we do get this lad Grégoire Defrel, then Mikey'll be pleased we maintained his transfer record....of never having beaten the transfer record on his watch.

I'm absolutely serious when I say this - I would bet my house on the fact that the club actually isn't allowed to pay more than the transfer record, I believe Mike revels in it and wants to ensure he keeps that intact. I reckon the bid for Almiron simply isn't allowed to go above £16.5m, which is why we've offered that. I still think we'll get that player - they've signed a replacement from Watford, he wants to leave but nobody else is going to pony up.

He's spending £20m on a backup option in case Niasse keeps up his record of simply not scoring. Reminds me a bit of Fulham.

Just because he does not have the ability as a manager to make use of the theory, it does not mean the theory is wrong. Catch up at the back.

If you could catch me up.....sure you can find me an example of an attacking team that stayed up?

Awaiting your Rio Ferdinand fishing schtick.

This school of thought is appreciated considering they're filling up relegation spots we would otherwise inhabit.

Imagine if we could spend that 20mill on an attacker we were promised some time ago

Newcastle were pretty attacking under Keegan - they stayed up. Did alright too, nearly won the league. This other attacking team called Man U were quite good though.

Sorry I’m not sure where attacking teams were mentioned. I think the point was winning and scoring goals will assist you in staying up. If you have no strikers capable, I believe signing a couple and breaking the club record on one of them would be seen as trying to correct that. Probably give you a better chance of staying up and that.

Nevermind Rio Ferdinand, I think I’m conversing with Joke Innear. Is it because I have dared to say Rafa is not all that in the transfer market? “How dare you expose my big cuddly prince you bastard Pouch!”
