It's just the way things work out sometimes. Your mrs sends you down to the local co-op to pick up a few bits and pieces as she's doing your favourite tonight, toad in the hole. You come up to a junction and stop a few yards back from the line just to be sure, then rev the hell out of the engine because you've put your foot on the gas instead of the brake. The next thing you know, out of nowhere BANG. You would've seen it coming if you had your glasses with you, but you don't like driving at night anyway. I'm 97 you know. Probably the closest contact he's had with a member of the public for ages.
Considering quitting my job as they have put in some day full of meetings about ****ing brexit the day after the superbowl which I now can't take as holiday because these meetings are "really important" That isn't very adult of me is it?
If you are serious about quitting, then don't. Just wait for said day to arrive and jib with a phone call about a sore throat. And don't sound ill or sincere. Whats the worst that can happen, the sack? Well, that's just another way of quitting.................but with a couple more weeks worth of cash. Simple. On the other hand, if you are super proud of your career and very conscientious, ignore this post.
Tweet number one by the Archbishop of York after the accident: Tweet number two. Half an hour later: "The people" involved were in hospital. Glad he has his priorities sorted. Vin
Nicely highlighted Vin. I was listening the the radio in the morning and they were banging on about him for 20 minutes. And that left me wondering about the other car. Were they drunk, had they been arrested? Were they illegal immigrants fresh off a boat and trying to escape the clutches of the law? It turns out that they were just two normal people driving a long when they were plunged into a serious road action through no fault of their own. I hope they are all okay.
That first tweet almost sounds as if he thinks he is dead, especially the “bring him to thine everlasting kingdom” line.
That would be very unchristian. I personally am not surprised that there is far more coverage for Prince Philip than for the other two...will always happen when a celebrity of any sort is involved in an incident.
