    Tiredness for me.
I work 05.00 - 13.00, am on my feet for the entire shift, in 2C temperatures, so the best part of a four mile walk on top of fatigue from getting up early, does for me.
Likewise with evening matches. I don’t get enough sleep after getting home after 22.00 and winding down enough to fall asleep.

    What would stop me:
    VAR
The situation where in twelve matches every season just scraping a point is a great result
The tedious negativity of some football fans at matches
    Boring football

Things that make me want to go:
The fans flowing towards St Marys like a river with many tributaries
The excitement when I see the ground
    Climbing the terraces
The sound of the crowd as the Saints emerge from the tunnel
    The roar at kick off
The sound of a good attack
The joy when the opposition miss a sitter
    The first good OWTS
    The ecstasy of a goal
The OWTS after a goal when you can hear it echoing
The humour of football crowds when things are beyond saving
Begging for the final whistle when we're ahead and it's close
Savouring the victory as the crowd floods out

Hoping that one day I will be there when one of those flame thrower machines incinerates that twat with the mic at half-time.

I'm back in love again since Ralph. A 5 hour round trip to watch maybe one shot on target was getting to me. Have two season tickets but only been 3 times this year. Admittedly weekday games are not possible. I'm there on Saturday though and intend to up the attendance here on in.

    Lol beat me to it.

Pretty much always see myself going, except if we do eventually go to live with the daughter in Atlanta.

Similar to Vin, the positives far outweigh any negatives.

I love going to football matches, of course especially saints but even watching other teams.

Can't think of any one thing that would stop me getting to saints when I can.

I did wonder if I would if big fat Sam was appointed as manager but the football would have to have been extremely dire to stop me.

Something that’s not been mentioned yet but would be pretty big for me is cost. Not necessarily cos I can’t afford it because I can (within reason), but more out of principle.

I sit in the Northam and it was good the club made season tickets work out at £30 a game there as that is the maximum that can be charged to away fans and so they didn’t want us spending more while being sat right next to them.

But, I still think £30 is too much, particularly when the club earns so much. There was a survey sent out earlier this season asking if we/I would still buy my season ticket if the price went up by X but they included Y in the deal and it worries me that next season they’ll want to raise the prices.

I also spend a fortune on away games, it’s approx £80 to get the train to Burnley for example (yes official travel is cheaper but I like getting the train and the freedom to stay in the away city for a drink or two after), plus the match ticket and it’s £110 before I’ve left my house. Granted saints don’t control away prices or train fares, but I estimate I spend several thousand on tickets and travel for saints each season. It’s a hell of a lot.

There will always be controversy regardless of technology and referees. There will always be ups and downs, transfers in and out, good performances and bad, but I think there will come a stage where the price gets too much and enough is enough.

Some things that would keep me going? Safe standing and £20 is plenty.

Nothing about football or the club. The bastards hooked me all those years ago and that’s it. Tossers.

Family commitments are why I couldn’t have my ST this year, but I will go to any game I can.

The only things that I can think of that would stop me going are family/work commitments and money. It's not as tempting to go when we're utter ****, but I'll still go.

The time I was attending over 15 games a season was between 2006 - 2009. First year I went a lot was the year we lost in the play offs against Derby, the last year was our first year in League 1 on -10.

So I guess you could say that Saints becoming good stopped me going

Interesting point and something I hadn't thought about, I suspect that everyone would have a limit here though they would vary.

Think the last game I went to was the Chelsea FA Cup semi. That was because I got a free box, complete with 3 course meal, parking space and as much booze as I wanted. I also love VAR

I didn't drive. I knew we would lose so it was one of the conditions I demanded when getting invited to the box for free
