The way he delivered it was in the manner of a man waiting to be put out of his misery. And boy is he a misery.
Another good aspect of Romeu’s game was his positioning when a Leicester player reached the by line. He seemed to be in the perfect spot for cutting out the crosses pulled back towards the penalty spot for incoming midfielders. An area where we tend to ship too many goals.
Apart from when they scored of course! I actually thought it was Vestergaard who just stopped - he had no awareness of Indidi or another player right next to him who could have turned it in. But just one blip in an otherwise heroic performance from all.
Sunday morning and doing an IT course about Docker, anyway, I digress. Learnt a new word on the course. The Saints players really grok the Hassenhüttl way.
They are going to have the same problem we had when we sacked him and MP, there's not really a lot of good reliable options out there. Anyway after the helicopter crash I guess a bit of time to sort things out would be normal, but May seems so far away...
Presumably though, failure to beat a **** team like Southampton when they are down to ten men is a straight red. Let's hope there are a few more managers "under pressure" as 11 man Saints team run amok!
Maybe, it's pretty disastrous. But their season isn't going anywhere, they could do with rotating their squad a bit, and there's a lot of crap managers in the world, hopefully they make some terrible mistake.
I agree. Remember daft though he was yesterday most Saints fans wouldn't even know who he was a few weeks ago so I'll cut him some slack. I also wonder if there was a little verbal wind up stuff from ? Maddison early on. Or he may have been told by the manager 'get stuck in' and um, did. I also can take little pleasure at Puel's situation. I don't think he's a bad man or even a poor coach. Strangely for a Frenchman it can look like he lacks passion (Though watch that bit when Long scores against 'Pool). Sadly it looks like his poor communication skills are consistent across many areas and he's likely to pay for that again soon. Which bringing us back to Valery, us fans do seem to prefer those who show passion. In the strange, money driven, world of top professional football we can believe they care, just a bit.
Alec Ferguson was a great believer in footballers marrying early....though not to Spice Girls. He said they stayed at home more and avoided being daft in nightclubs. Even more true with the advent of social media....can you imagine how often George Best would be in the paper if everyone had mobile phones.
I can’t believe any fans will be giving out grief to Valery. He’s a kid who got wound up and lost control. Feck me, that happens. He’s time to learn. I liked that it showed he won’t be intimidated. Even @tomw24 only said “silly boy” rather then a round of expletives, so proof in itself that he’s forgiven.
I do feel sorry for Puel….he must wonder what everyone expects. Leicester and Southampton both achieved what you expect from mid-table sides. His teams don't look exciting and he has no personal charm....you need at least one of those to get fans on side.
My mate appreciates the offer but thinks that it'll sort itself out so long as I stop having intimate relations with inanimate objects. I mean, if he stops having intimate relations with inanimate objects.
