I was never a big critic of Les Reed and I don't believe in coincidences. But.................................................
The life of a Saints fan .... Having watched the dross last week, I was hoping to have some excuse not to go today but couldn't find one. Thankfully. That Leicester goal was scuffed. Had he hit it cleanly it might have been saved. And then .. well, do I need to tell fellow Saints of the agony of waiting for an even dodgier equaliser. About 4 years after they'd scored I suddenly realised that something odd was happening. We were playing well. We looked organised. Our players seem to know what they were doing. There was a very good chance that the buggers wouldn't score. Yes, fellow Saints, I allowed myself the luxury of drawing breath. The big useless Dane looked OK. Stephens was playing well. Bednarek was immense. Is this a new dawn?
Slattery enjoying himself tonight. Just Did a 30 second livestream of himself on Insta in a club with girls on both arms. One going on about how cute he is .
Claude Puel's post-match interview was... really odd. Claude, are you feeling the pressure after another defeat today? CP - No comment. It's not my concern. It's not your concern? So you're not worried then? CP - No, no. It's not my concern. I just focus on my team, that's the most important thing. So you're not bothered at all by… another defeat? CP - It's not my concern. I want to work with these players to continue to move. Sometimes there's a good feeling, sometimes there's a bad result. It's football. Okay… but what about the fans at the end though, because there were some boos... CP - The fans are like us: disappointed and frustrated after a defeat. - END -
Only 3weeks ago they beat Man City and Chelsea. They are 8th in the table. Ok we beat them and a much changed team lost to Newport. I know their style of football is quite boring but they are still doing well. I don't think he needs to go.
What did they want him to say, that he is worried about losing his job?...of course he is but he ain''t gonna say it is he?
Ha, having been on the other end of this very debate when he was in SO14, I will cut the Leicester fans some slack. I can understand why they want rid of him.
