Hilarious discussion on the Spurs v Man U thread on the manc board. Beat Spurs 4-0 and we will be on our way."(quote) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk "Exactly, plus next weekend we play Brighton while Arsenal take on Chelsea - could be an important couple of weekends. Get these next two games right and we could make 4th - and that's before Chelsea play Newcastle tonight" So starting the miraculous journey tomorrow they're gonna beat Spurs 4-0.
I don't like Man Utd, Chelsea or Spurs but they're not all going to miss out. Can't see Arsenal getting top four either.
I think they could. Chelsea look toothless without hazard so if he has an off day they don’t often score many. Defensively they don’t keep clean sheets and then an arsenal are as shaky as United really. Depends how the window goes
Chelsea have a decent grip on 4th and are going to need it. League cup and Europa will suck up resources they are struggling with a bit. If they can get the points in now then they will be tough to catch. Tbh... the way spurs have been playing threy have ran sides off the park. I cannot see Utd living with the pace
They are 9 points behind though, its a huge deficit. They've just played the 4 worst teams in the league in terms of form so things are looking a bit rosier for them but there's a big test tomorrow against Spurs and I can see it being a much more realistic measure of where they are at.
Dont disagree. But 9 points is a couple of wins, especially when have to play each other. Chelsea don’t look like they’re gonna win 7 in a row so plenty chance to catch up
Southgate on Uniteds shortlist. Be hilarious if the got him. A very average manager that has been hyped up because he worked out how to score some goals via corners and penalties against mid to low ranked international teams.
If the Utd board had more people on it - tomorrow could have been hilarious Utd cannot afford to pick and choose who they give points to As it is might get more joy on the spuds bored
True, it would be a lot easier to catch up if the deficit was only 7 points but at least we have a game in hand.
With a game in hand. Granted, it's against Spurs and they're likely to lose but it's a game in hand all the same. Win it, and the gap is actually 6pts. IMO, it's a bit rubbish (not aimed at you personally) when people say stuff like that when its merely because one team play the day before the other. Bit like people saying we're 7pts ahead atm and we were 10pts ahead around Christmas, both only because Man City play the following day; it's a bit of a red herring imo Edit; plus I wouldn't mind Man Utd only being 6pts behind Chelsea come Monday morning
I disagree, its a fact that they are 9 pts behind. They may have a game in hand but they've had no points from it yet. Always rather have the points than the games in hand.
Utd game v spurs is the only one thst matter for looking at 4th. city v wolves is the only one that counts towards second
Liverpool have mastered dark arts needed to win Premier League title, Fabinho impresses in unfamiliar role https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...fabinho-impresses-in-unfamiliar-a4037211.html
I fail to see what about defending decently and keeping the ball could be called dark arts. Brighton never threatened us really. 1 header, never scoring from it even on target and one blocked shot in 90mins. we had 75% possession. if that's a dark art like fernandinho fouls fair enough.... but I'd call it playing properly
