Ralph - "I'm unbelievably proud. To be the manager of this team is just fantastic". Manlove incoming!
Shane Long wins a penalty, then scores a goal, Saints defend a lead with 10 men and win away against a side in the top half of the table - Have I entered a parallel universe?
Apparently Leicester had 85% possession in second half and had 19 shots. And you wonder why I can't follow the game!
Agreed, I would take Oliver for every game, best ref in the league IMO. Great win today Ralph is the man, but if he keeps going and we end up mid-table, I will be nervous over the summer that his head does not get turned by the "bigger" clubs, if an offer comes in. The train is still rolling along nicely, did not think Romeu had it in him to be able to play the high press anymore but he has been the biggest improvement since Ralph arrived. Stewart "McDonald" Armstrong has improved and impressed me of late. What a defensives performance today. Feel a little bad for Valery, as there is a good player there but I have noticed that when he is caught out of position his tendency is to always pull the player back and will get a card every time.
Hasenhüttl has now eclipsed Hughes for this season's points. MH: 9pts from 15 games RH: 10pts from 7 games - (three of which were Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City...)
Said this in a previous post. He’s had a week before Arse Udders and this one and won em all Shame we’re playing Derby midweek
Great for Valery too that we held on to the win after he got sent off. With the right arm around the shoulder, and guidance from Ralph, hopefully his confidence won’t be too knocked and this will turn into a positive learning experience for the young lad.
Only 4 from inside the penalty area though. Oh Claude. PS We only had ONE LONG SHOT IN THE WHOLE MATCH!!! I love Ralph.
Make sure Cedric starts for Everton against us and stick Gallagher on him at far post and it won’t matter a jot who we bung at right back/wingback!
