i said when we played Leeds early season who ever finishes above them will be going up.

That was some statement against Derby tonight top display.

That is what we need to aspire too if we have dreams of promotion.

    Quality performance tonight.

In terms of history, fan base, attendances etc, Leeds are amongst the biggest clubs in the country & that they've been out of the Premiership for 15 years is testament to how much they messed up with their irresponsible spending by counting on Champions League revenue that didn't materialise.

Gambling the long term success and stability of the club for the sake of short term 'ambition' was their undoing when a club of their stature should have been a Premiership regular for all these years, so though it's looking more and more like they may finally get back there this season, they do not represent a club we should 'aspire to'.

Currently, Brighton are probably the best comparison Bristol City can look to replicate - similar stature, modern stadium now holding it's own in the Premiership with responsible investment in the Club both on and off the pitch.

Indeed - I don't know what the rules say on the matter, so if there isn't already something that punishes it sufficiently then this should be a precedent to introduce it. I don't think it's a huge deal, & the controversy of the event was probably more detrimental to Derby than any information that could have been ascertained by a spy, but it is an ugly thing that I don't think we want in our game. Marcelo Bielsa has claimed the club was unaware & that the spy was acting on his orders, but I don't think the club can get off scot free, unless it was seen to be punishing him internally, which I don't think they will, unless it was a token fine done for show.

Yes it does go on and mainly it doesn't bother me...but the way it was done, "sneaky and ungracious" ....I used to like Leeds back in the day (Revie 70s) but don't have any affection for them since their shenanigans in Europe etc.

I think most of us would be thrilled if we could follow Brighton's track. They've come a long, long way since they had to leave the Goldstone. Magnificent club.

And let's not forget their chairman supporting us in person for Ashton Vale.

How can they punish him if he was acting on orders , they aren’t going to are they that wouldn’t make sense. I can’t understand that point that it’s commonplace either, of Frank Lampard County wouldn’t be complaining would they?

I was referring to Bielsa, i.e. the one giving the orders. :)
