Thanks Sparkey. Doesn't sound fair in some scenarios though. Also, you could have a long term injury in the summer who could be fit around Christmas. You'd either be without him for the season or you'd have to name him in the 25, accepting you'd only have 24 to chose from until he was fit. Bit of a risk.
This is where bringing home grown quality youngsters through is so important. Look at Tottenham with Kane, Walker-Peters, Winks, Skipp and a couple of others who have been on the bench or had cameos in recent weeks. Possibly, although I don't know Alli and Dier may come under this. Either way they have a squad of 30 or so able to play in the Prem and have used the youngsters of late. I'm pretty sure Man City and Liverpool have done the same. We have............. This will be a big concern for us come end of February as players get progressively more fatigued. This is why we need new, quality signings with fresh legs urgently.
No chance to get Victor Moses..... "Fenerbahce are prepared to pay the whole of Moses' wages until the end of the season to pull off the deal." https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=30662
Bugger unless he doesn't fancy visiting a country with a trend of underlying violence and political issues. Oh. Hold on. No change then really and the weather is better.
A statement from MD to reassure fans. Do we need this kind of statement? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...IySSc66G-ncHkThZGYlExB22xVSr4HLrMLddUpaJsxGSs
No, just action to redress a failing squad (and possibly management) - no amount of "statements of intent" will add points to our tally.
I think he's more likely to go to Fulham than Fenerbahce, no need to travel the M4 corridor and stays at home every evening. I guess the question is, does he go to Turkey for the money for 6 months or agree a deal with Fulham. I can't see VT sanctioning anything near the £130k per week, maybe half that but not any more than that. Can Fulham match his current salary?
Well I’m sure we will be disappointed contrary to the assurance of Dahlman who appears to know less about football than my wife.
Another rumour........ Online translator used - sorry about that....... https://www.francefootball.fr/news/Mercato-cardiff-attaque-mbwana-samata-mais-genk-resiste/977176 "Mercato: Cardiff attacks Mbwana Samata, but Genk resists... Scalded by the Emiliano Sala dossier, Cardiff City made an offer for Samata, a profiling striker from Genk. Announced a few seasons ago in Nantes or OM, Mbwana Samatta is in the process of exploding everything in Belgium with the RC Genk. Top scorer of the championship (15 goals in 20 matches), Infernal in Europa League (9 achievements in 10 meetings), Tanzanian carries his club in the lead of the Jupiler League. Performance that has just pushed Cardiff City to offer 13 million euros off bonus for the 26-year-old player. The RC Genk rejected this first proposal from the premier League for the former of TP Mazembe. The Welsh are also still interested in the Nantes, Emiliano Sala. N.d." EDIT - I notice WOL have got it now too............... https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-make-13m-transfer-15673207
Was just about to post the same Sparkey. Is he any good or are we getting desperate? We're back in the frame for Niasse as well. https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclu...everton-over-striker-wanted-by-crystal-palace Also read that Sala hasn't scored in 4 games since Warnock watched him with them losing 3 out of 4.
Hello, hello....wouldn't be coming to Cardiff for nothing eh? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46863238
Has to be a done deal. Not sure how I feel about it though. Seems to know where the net is and has scored goals everywhere he's been. Time will tell. Lets hope it doesn't drag out either way.
Now Healey has taken Madine's place in the "25", we'd need someone else to leave before we could play him - let's hope Connolly completes his move to Hull this week.
Or will Healey disappear back out online? Did read that Connolly was having a medical today. Still need room for a full back and a midfielder. Colins decision to include Healey might yet bite him on the bum. Is 'people out' compromising the 'people in' situation?
If Sala does come I agree. The good thing for the Dons is that now Healey's played for City on the weekend, he can only go to them as you can only play for a maximium of 2 clubs in any season.
It will do until Jan 31st, but after that we can put out an entirely different 25 for the second half of the season. Colin can change anyone he likes (or dislikes ) for the run in - hopefully we'll get a few more to throw in the mix as well.
Don’t you get the feeling that new blood is needed regardless of who it is as the squad looks so stale and bereft and needs a spark/tonic? I still am trying to get my head around that lifeless negative display last Saturday .
