Morning all from rural France where the thick fog has now lifted. I think it came about because the temperature has risen overnight. Today is the annual commune meeting, known here as la cérémonie des Voeux. It might be interesting as the Mayor and his deputy are due in court next month on serious charges of not declaring an interest in something they voted for. I am sure that some will be gunning for them, so I am giving it a miss as I don't fancy my neighbour the Mayor putting me in the ditch with one of his tractors.
Hello all. Had a quiet birthday on Thursday until my Mum phoned at about 8pm. Apparently my Great-Aunt died on Christmas Day. She was 93 and had never fully recovered from a bout of pneumonia, so I knew it was going to be when rather than if, but being told on my birthday wasn't the best. The reason for the delay in informing us was a slight confusion as to whether her body was to be donated to medical science, but the relevant organisation being closed until 3rd January settled it. Her funeral is on 23rd, but I won't be able to make it as I'm in France, either in the Charente-Maritime at my ex-father-in-law, or skiing in the Massif Central if he can get a decent midweek deal.
After our next three games we will have played all the teams around us twice. The run in will be crucial!
Mornin' all. Just looking at the Prem table, if the Solskjaer honeymoon ends today is there still a chance the 'orns could pip them to 6th??? Yup I know it would take a lot of luck but one can dream. Afterall there are still underying issues at ManU. I was thinking this as having read the rules I have no idea whether 7th would be enough to get a European start. Anyways despite not knowing how, a good start on the road to Europe would be an Everton vs Bournmouth draw today. Little steps but moving in the right direction. Enjoy your Sunday one and all
Morning all. Grey and slightly damp at present. Despite some rain my water butts are still only half filled. Still plenty of time to have them full which I will need if we have another dry summer. Have we broken the second half of the season jinx? So far so good, but it takes so little for a few poor results to see a lack of confidence set in.
Morning from a starry and well deserved 7th...……. A great sense of reward and Gracia looked very pleased when talking about it yesterday..... after all if we stay seventh we may just qualify for Europe (?) …. which was the Pozzo goal....
Well first half at everton and "please move along. Nothing to see here". Everton zero shots on target, Bournemouth 2. Exciting stuff ps: I'm being a bit harsh as both sides hit the woodwork but still hoping it stays 0-0
It seems that someone from Hampshire has been watching judging by his comment on the Beeb website. Is there a Premier League stat for the player who spends most time on the ground? If so, surely Richarlison must be miles ahead! Dave, Hampshire
Well best laid plans of mice and men. I guess we will just have to win the cup Great game Spurs v Manu. Next up Real Betis v Real Madrid. Last game Real Madrid were cr*p. No idea how to go forward. So it wouldn't surprise me to see Betis get something from this one. But I'll keep the peace with the Real Madrid supporter here Enjoy your evening one and all.
Good morning all from a cool and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day Off to Southmead today for my biopsy, not looking forward to it, it took me a week to recover from the last one
Dave, hope that it goes well, and you suffer less than last time. Will be thinking about you. Sunshine and showers here this morning, but due to dry up this afternoon. I have a load more kitchen waste for the compost bins. They need turning so if it stays dry I might get and do that later. Last time I did turn it up a mouse who felt it had found a nice warm home, with a few titbits served up was disturbed.
