Would you still like Chelsea to have bought Bakayoko, Batshuayi, Drinkwater and Morata?

What good would an answer of 'no', do? Unless you've perfected time travel, it's meaningless.

I support(ed) going for it because Wembley's **** but maybe that's because I pay to go there?

I think that the way that it's been handled is a **** up, but it's hard to tell what the situation is and apply an accurate judgement.
Levy should have laid out the possibilities to the supporters at the start, if he knew what they lay of the land was.
If the delay has all been down to some enormous, unforeseen wiring issue with the safety systems though, then it's not really on him.

I would have preferred to know the score from the outset if that was possible. Was it? We don't know, at the moment.
How much of the fan unrest about Wembley is down to how it's been handled and expectations not being met?

It's not as if there was an empty lot when we moved out of WHL, as a large part of the stadium structure had been built before we'd even left

This is why I'm convinced so many of the issues are tied to the South Stand: the other three stands were already going up during our final season at WHL while the South Stand had to wait for The lane to be demolished before work could begin, and even when the four stands were completed it always seemed the South Stand was lagging behind be it images of an unbuilt bar back in early October when the bars for the West Stand were operational in August, while it also seemed odd that there were patches of the South Stand where seats hadn't been installed as recently as late October - and the patches weren't horizontal but vertical, which seemed to indicate something was being installed beneath where those seats would be

On top of everything else, though, considering there was a good month where building work ground to a halt due to The Beast From The East hitting, the club really should have announced then that potential delays were incoming. But the lack of transparency the club has had, to the point we have to wait for the Retain/Release list every year to see which U23 and U18 players have been offered contracts, is a long-standing issue.

Nope. It would do no good but imagine having someone telling you buying those players was the right thing and its only hindsight and it was the right decision. That person would be laughed at as it was blatantly the wrong decisions.

Obviously you supported it because you were always going and regardless of what he tried youd prefer whl but imagine you werent going to go and have bought a season ticket and having to go in case you do move in (delayed twice). You would be a bit narked off.

Fortunately you boys have been very good this year (and unfortunate that city and pool have been even better) so watching them has probably been more fun than usual

Unfortunately, apart from battering you in the PL (<whistle>), we've been much better away from home. Possibly because the atmosphere at Wembley is getting worse and worse (again beating you on Tuesday, apart).

I really can't impress on you how negative people are about Wembley. I don't sense that opting for 2 seasons of it would have helped, I really believe it would have made it worse. The place is an atmosphere vacuum.

Yup .nothing worse than setting expectations. No expectation no disappointment (you can have your own high targets)

It'd be very interesting to have known what response we'd have got from the PL to saying we wanted to move in Jan 1 2019?

I reckon we might have been told to jog on and we went hell for leather at hitting the Liverpool game because we could fall back from it. The problem is we've overrun our prepared contingency plans. If we'd thought that likely, the Fulham game wouldn't have been full capacity and we'd have had the NFL debacle sorted better.

To me the worst option was kicked into touch a long time ago, move to fekking Stratford. All other options which meant staying in Tottenham were and are better, whether it takes one, two, three, four or even 5 years to get the stadium finished. I hate Wembley, but it is a stop-gap. Once the new stadium is finished it will be history and we will look forward to playing there again, cup finals etc.

As for the season ticket money, I just leave it in my Spurs account and pay for each match I attend, It will pay for next years season ticket.

The biggest possible fek up would be go into the new stadium before it is safe and have a major accident. The stadium would be tainted forever. Bearing this in mind I support Levy 100%, however inconvenient playing at Wembley is.

What I would say is it would be better if evening matches would start at 19:30 rather than 20:00 because it is a push to make public transport sometimes. Any delay could mean looking for a hotel/telephone box. (yes I have done that before now<laugh>)

Occasionally, I look at other clubs' fan forums. Looking at KUMB shows how damaging their move to The White Elephant has been. There are about 3 threads with daily traffic indicating why fans won't go anymore. Others give lists of criticisms and there's a general hopelessness about the whole situation. They're stuck there, there's nowhere for them to go and it's beyond **** on all fronts that are important to fans....and there's minimal extra revenue, only £2m last year.

Our new stadium is in the right place. The sight lines and proximity to the pitch are superb. There are top notch facilities, catering, bars, etc. Most of all, it's been designed to have a heart and soul. The South Stand is for those of us who want to participate. If you're in there, you're not going to complaining about those around you 'getting stuck in'. Additionally, the 'safe standing' areas were already demarked and ready to go, filled with fans who want to stand. No hassles when you want to stand in there. Atmosphere problems? I don't think so.

People are impatient and feel disappointed but we're so close to what most of us doubted would happen a decade ago. Chelsea wanted to do this and have admitted defeat. Arsenal's stadium is a 'little Wembley'. It's a bowl full of disappointment. Southampton's the same, so is Citeh's. This stadium actually has a chance of being better than what it replaced. That'll be a first, anywhere.

So, I'm positive and unswayed by the bleating of other teams' fans or the constant attacks of the press. West Ham fans would lose both thumbs to have anything half as good. This stadium will transform our club. I feel for season ticket holders. One of my brothers is one and well ****ed off, as he's cash poor right now. The club have handled that poorly and PR remains a disaster on most fronts. However, those things apart, this is a triumphant achievement and I'm not going to be convinced otherwise.

Don't suppose we can pay off the ST/\DIUM by suing a random Aussie chicken shop for £800m?

That's £400m for using our badge, and a further £400m for having it on a red background

I thought about that, but the expression was actually used on KUMB following Brady's suggestion that DL was green with envy at their stadium.

You can't polish a turd and Brady spouting that nonsense just makes it worse for them...

Just went over there (in an Ebola medic body suit) .

The desperation for there to be financial grief at new WHL is hilarious,
more so that someone apparently ITK is killing their pants down
    fantasies remark by remark.

<laugh> It's like when we appointed Harry and all the Portsmouth fans piled in to say that he'd "bankrupt [sic] the club." That lot are also judging our owners based on the quality of theirs.

Joe Lewis is a self-made multi-billionaire. He broke the British government and The Bank of England over the ERM. It's reckoned that the value of THFC is in excess of £2 billion, taking into account land ownership, facilities, squad value, etc. He paid £54m for it.

Yeah, so he's going to let it crash and burn? Okay.......<laugh>

Why would you even mention the stadium, if you're remotely connected with running West Ham?
Don't bring it up to your supporters. It's a sore point and you can only lose by doing so.
Comparing it to our new one is even more stupid. It just highlights what a ****ing disaster the place is.

As I said, pants down fantasies about new WHL financial "burn down" .

Each time someone goes : they are wasting/losing money on X
blah blah blah, that ITK (WUM) is going : X is covered in the budget,
or the cost is incurred by (sub)contractor blah blah blah.

Proper ITK, or just WUM, tis a rich seam of amusement.
